I've tried loads of #barefoot sandals, and the Earth Runners Alpha in their Sunset colorway has become my favorite.

1. Enough padding to wear on concrete all day, but firm enough to feel the outdoors.

2. Footbed material doesn't become grimy or sticky with loads of sweat and repeated use.

3. Strap system is snug but minimal. No pinching or snagging. Can sprint if needed.

4. Copper grounding system.

We wear these most of the year in Texas.

Frankly, I love your nostr:nprofile1qqsr26r4lltjnvrwadxp67ns58m4qpzaqemhf5sup7hlujhjh7t296qppamhxue69uhkumewwd68ytnrwgqs7amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd4hk6t9edcw notes, you make me want to try your stuff every time.

Much appreciated. 🀝

also look very packable... so, you saying #WorthTheSats ?

Oh yeah. I have like 4 pairs now in various places.

Next best thing to leaving the shoes at home.

Considering these, seriously.

I like my Xero sandals. I wish they were grounded.

Those look nice, but I don't like the strap between the toes.

My prev fav was Xero's Z-Trail.

Compared with that, the Alpha foot beds last *alot* longer and are gentler on your joints, especially on concrete.

I thought I wouldn't be able to adapt to the toe strap either, but it was surprisingly easy and that skin area has thickened nicely with time.

Ah, yes: compared with the Z-Trail, I've found the clasp system on the Alpha to be way more trustworthy.

My Z-Trail always came undone once I put about 6 months of hard use on it.

Alpha is remaining strong, hasn't come undone during use even once. It's a better clasp system.

Mine are still holding up great and I've ran a half marathon in them

Maybe I'll try them when my z-trails wear out.

Does grounding work well with them? Or is it just marketing?

I haven't verified them.

Do you feel grounded?

Hard to separate from placebo, but yes.

I tried the DIY xero shoes. They sucked, but it I probably screwed up making it.

But why are they this expensive?

Material costs $3. Way overpriced.

Then make them yourself.

What is your time worth?

When I’m working a lot.

When I’m not 0. - so this will cost me $0 πŸ˜†

Is it comfortable

The toe strap takes some getting used to, but after that, it's solid.

I used to go running in just normal flip-flops, but they break down too quickly. I've been meaning to look into either sandals like these or running moccasins.

You had me at copper grounding system 🀀

My earthrunners have been faithful footwear for many years. I've replaced the laces once. The soles are so sturdy.

Stay grounded, my friend.

I used to wear (and love) the Xero Z-Trail, but the soles wore out too quickly.

I like me some good Jesus Stompers as well.

Berks are the original. 😁

I dig those but only if they were the non thong style. Any others that you know of that are like this?

I was anti thong before I gave these a try. Changed my mind. Takes a couple weeks.

Same conclusion on the earth runners, but with a male color

This is great. I tried the DIY zero shoe kit, after reading Born To Run, but I think I screwed up and running in them was painful. I need to give these Alpha Sandles a try.
