Well aint that the truth! I just wish we lived in a world where we could have both 😅
Like Bitcoin, Nostr is not private. Both protocols achieve security by means of storing data openly in the public sphere. Of course, you know this …

Correct. Nostr is a place where you reveal what you choose to the world. Most clients and services adhere to no data collection and location data.
Nostr is not what the meme is about but it’s important to harp on that point ManiMe. 🫡
Thanks QW… what is your meme about ?
Cause I’m honestly not sure how privacy and security can coexist without a centralizing “trusted” entity.
The meme is about privacy and convenience.
Let’s just give an example of A.I. on personal devices.
Or Siri and Alexa in the household.
There will always be some sort of a tradeoff but the Overton window of convenience has shifted so far that privacy is becoming a distant memory.
Maybe … that makes the argument for Nostr and Bitcoin easier?
If people KNOWINGLY release their personal info to the BIG tech overlords for convenience, but also don’t really like the big tech overlords … maybe privacy is a red herring?
Maybe we’re already making better choices for those who have acknowledged that privacy is a fair price to pay for freedom …
“Privacy is the currency. What will you buy with it?”
The sad truth 😕
