Current book I've just started reading.

"The past two decades have seen a rapid rise in large-scale, state-led transnational investment from countries as different as China, Norway and Russia. By bundling economic resources, these countries have entered global markets through massive state-led investments. This transformation of states into global economic actors is historically unprecedented and presents a major challenge for how states relate to each other in the international system."

Highly recommend this book for anyone interested in the intersection of geopolitics and finance/economics, both historical and current. I'm particularly surprised and interested in the details that the book examines about Norway's, seemingly outsized, scope of it's Sovereign Wealth Fund. It leads me to questioning the influence of Norway on Bitcoin strategies both in Norway and, given that clout in Europe and worldwide, the rest of the world. Whether Norway indeed yields that clout through it's SWF or if it's position just reflects the wider views of other jurisdictions, particularly the EU and MiCA, I don't know, but it might be interesting for those involved with Bitcoin policy to put Norway somewhat higher on the radar given the size of the Norwegian state's investments.
