New to Nostr? Here’s something that might feel odd at first if you are coming from other social media platforms:

There is no algorithm that feeds or suggests content to you. This means that at first, your feed might feel a little sparse / lonely.

However, as you begin to follow more and more other users whose notes you value, you’ll find your personal feed becomes rich with the signal that you value, and very little of the noise which you do not value.

In #Bitcoin - like - terms, your personal feed is proof of work; you have full responsibility and agency over your shaping your own Nostr content “feed”.

Nostr is a communication protocol, not a platform.

To find content, try this:

- Use the search function and follow the hashtag #plebchain

- Look at the profile of a user who posts something you find interesting. Then, follow the people that user follows. (You can always mute / unfollow users later).

This is my first nostr post. 

I chose not to repeat my Twitter name here or post my npub publicly on Twitter to keep those who track such things from linking my new nostr account to the phone number associated with my social media accounts. 

My question is this? Can people track my IP address when I post here? Can I actually post whatever I want to post?
