I have shared this image before, but it is ABSOLUTELY crucial to understand that a heatwave does not just impact the thermometer!
It has far reaching, often devastating impacts on EVERYTHING.
We better figure out rather quickly how to adapt to longer more intense heatwaves in more places.
Reminder, what is currently playing out is happening at a global average temperature of 15.08°C which is +1.28°C above the preindustrial average of 13.8°C
