Honestly, #[0] could do an episode just on “For What It’s Worth” by Buffalo Springfield and it would be awesome. He mentioned it one time in passing on an episode and ever since, I haven’t been able to get the idea out of my mind.

I did all 5 volumes of Conceived in Liberty on Audible. It’s the only way I can complete books in a timely manner. I’ve been trying to get through the paper form of Gaias Garden for over a year and conceived in Liberty took me a couple weeks lol

At my old job I could listen to podcasts and audiobooks all day. I would fly thru books, but at my current job I can’t except for rare occasions for an hour or 2 maybe. Makes things a lot more difficult to get thru.

Compare this to Morocco, where I grew up, which is an actual police state and has checkpoints all over the place. But there I never had any issue arguing with the cop (or claiming not to speak French) until he gave up and let me go. Because while they were everywhere they were even less trusted by their superiors and so were never empowered to do anything.

Here, if you look at a cop wrong on a bad day, they are empowered to rain down misery on you and piss them off bad enough, they’ll get their brothers in blue to make trouble for you too.

You know that uneasy, nervous feeling you get when you are driving (or even walking) and see a cop, even tho you know you aren’t doing anything wrong. You know if they want to, they can find something you are doing that’s illegal or can make some shit up and fuck your life up?
