Lord, what you doin on my side of the Pond? If you galavanting around let me

Know when you head to NC lol

Christmas Eve. Girls were with their mom, I had a few hours before picking them up. Hammered out a solid workout because the enemy doesn’t care that it’s Christmas (never forget nakatomi plaza).

May you stand through the dark and live to see the light return.

RIP JStark9, a hero among men.

Last night was 25 degrees when I went to work out. The enemy didn’t care, though, so I went to it. Had to stop early cause I gave myself a strain headache (rest and recovery is important, a lesson I have a hard time learning).

Tonight, finally got a tree. Not sure if I’m going to decorate it. Might just leave it as is and let it represent surviving the hard winter.

Bucked and split. Just one long pine log, but it burns hot. Found a good vein of fatwood. Good day’s work.

The enemy doesn’t care that’s it’s cold.

So neither do I.

The WarGym evolves

Left to right: 8lb, 10lb, 12lb

Well Dad, they got the bad RC skills from you. Drive your old truck just as bad as you did. Straight yeeting it into everything and laughing the whole time. Hope you’re watching and laughing with them.

Service beds and after-dark WarGym sessions
A match made in Hell.

Worked my body hard, fed it well, then sat with smoke and fire and a couple good men.

To any dad grinding through long days and longer nights —

don’t forget to breathe.

Don’t forget to take a few hours to reset.

Your kids need the strongest version of you.

Stay in the fight.

Cold. Rain. Mud. Grip slipping.

I showed up anyway.

The weights didn’t care. The storm didn’t care.

The Enemy Doesn’t Care.

Neither do I.

When the quiet roars, roar louder.

The WarGym never sleeps. 58 degrees outside, fall is here for us. The cold is just another grindstone to sharpen myself against. The enemy doesn’t care.

Neither do I.

Busy weekend. Estranged wife finally moved all her stuff out on Saturday so I can now rebuild the house into something for me and the girls. While she and her friends did that I rebuilt the 10.5” 6.5 Grendel (had a gas tube that was too short). Bought some

Cheap flat pack furniture to get me by until I can find or build something I actually want.

Sunday was breaking in the 6.5 and running drills/wearing full gear
for 6 hrs. My traps are bruised from the plate carrier, because apparently they’re bigger than even last month and all the weight of the plate carrier is resting on just them. Ended the day on some fun with old spray paint.

People I know have asked why I would want to pick up 400lbs. They ask as though I’m being crazy or something, but this right here is why. So that when my kids want me to carry them in some weird way I can do it. This was like lap 10 of carrying them both in a firefighter carry. Would not have been possible without the training and nutrition I’ve been doing recently.

Strong enough for life, not just the gym.

The Enemy doesn’t care.

They don’t care that you’re mad. They don’t care that you miss your kids. They don’t care that you’re doing the right thing, being done wrong, and still paying for the privilege.

The Enemy wants you distracted.

The Enemy wants you to say “not tonight.”

The Enemy wants you to say “work was exhausting, I’ll do it tomorrow.”

You know who does care?

Those two little girls who call you Daddy.

That old man who got called home too soon.

So ask yourself—does the Enemy’s desire matter more than theirs?

Are you going to give in and hand them your fire?

Or will you fan the flames and burn away the weakness?

400 lbs. Form broke near the top, couldn’t hold it long—but this was my third pull of that stack today.

My max effort, at a time I didn’t think I’d reach it this soon.

The Enemy doesn’t care. But I do.

I’ve gotta get me a tree line to get an antenna in the air. It’s one of many projects on my list.

Two milestones in one week: finally standing firm in a 50/50 custody agreement, and celebrating her 2nd birthday surrounded by love. Balance restored. Future secured. This is why I started the WarGym. This is why I train.
