warm climates, nothing really matters eh? 😁 they're drunk on infinite warmth. 🌜🌞
Wanted to zap someone.
my app doesn't have zaps yet.
I guess I better add zaps, and private zaps too.. cause public zaps are just a stupid unwinding of all the privacy we supposedly cared about so much.. and ofc NWC as well. 🫡
Zaps are the one thing that made nostr cool and yet most apps (everything besides amethyst/damus) butchered the implementation. Infact, I dont think private zaps even made it into a NIP, only a DIP. And with damus delisted
from zaps I syppose its only in amethyst now until notedeck.

I've tried this before. 😎 Was interesting, but not that interesting. Being able to experiment is key, it's like playing a synthesizer and you don't know what it sounds like until you play it. Low score for me was basically zombie land and once in a while someone comes back and takes over the timeline.
i feel bad for reading so fast.. all the time put into a book and then I read it in <1 day. 😭 Where all my good books gone?
I think about this all the time, what even is the purpose of social media, and the answer is that it depends on what you use it for. Constantly reframe this, until the nostr stream can match what WE want and not what matches profits for megacorp advertizing data collecting.
hell, I think it's just aliens branding us digitally like cattle at this point. 😂
The longest time between BTC ATHs was 4 years and 17 days.
That means everyone who held for that long has made a profit, even if the person who had literally the worst timing possible.
On the flip side, if you are going to need that money in less than 4 years, maybe don't tie it up in bitcoin.

the answer no one wants to hear 😭
and then they scramble off to buy xrp because some bot army advertisement racket told them to.
you mean the silverados? metal heads, they deserve some gains .. and it's great to see it may just expose that paper trading is rigged. they stopped their silver exchange on a dime like robinhood to reposition from imminent destruction haha
Not exactly, it's a WoT relay using relatr as an 'oracle' and a bucket algorithm for rate limiting and publishing policies. It is intentionally built without using NIP-42, all the accounting is based on the authors of the event. We recently published an article about this, you can read it here: https://contextvm.org/blog/wotrlay-moderation-as-a-bucket or as a long form.
Do you have some feedback? We are just exploring this idea, and it's working fairly well. I haven't seen anything inappropriate in the feed
I was just browsing it. What I meant was, is it an 'organic' relay, or a relay with streams from other relays? I like that it didn't blast my test note. I read your blog post. Cool stuff 🐧
hello wss wotr relatr xyz 👀 is this an aggregator/blastr as well? will find out shortly 😁
Because I have a truck, I went for a drive, just for the hell of it.
Now indulging at home in the cryptocave...

cozy 🤩
yep, I think a lot of positioning for taxes and then Jan 1st-20th they're gonna want back in or get left behind 🚑 the thunderous sound of millions of accountants clacking those keyboards 😂
GM nostr! Up early, up late, it's all the same to me! except for stores being open/closed 🌝🌜😁
I need some better/brighter winter lights but I failed to purchase them and etc. Looks like regular stores just have a bunch of junk too 😭
Relay tools IS this. It has an api for deployment too. I have many plans to further execute on exactly this kind of thing, inciuding supporting more relay flavors, more self hosting, more networking setups. Obviously, there is an opportunity to revisit and rewrite a lot of it to achieve true 'one click', and I had plans to do this.
BUT I needed funding and I guess nobody on the opensats voting team has seen what I've been doing the last year (for free).. Y'all should give me a boost or something if you think I've helped your projects in the last 2 years+, I feel like I've done a lot, esp for NIP17.
I'm still working on it pretty much daily, and I may apply again with smaller goals I don't really know. The urgency and excitement is suppressed knowing I'm basically on nostr deth row.
The amount of work required to execute on this is quite a lot, and my submission reflected this.
yes, for sure. Except that bitcoin is so incredibly liquid, that it enables these kinds of games, should people want to play them at maximum speed :)
Annnd, I tried it and my nos2x-fox got stuck in a loop asking for 27235.. darn.
i could have picked a lot more but i was barefoot 😂
thank you for reminding me, let me look and see what i need to do
potentially yeah because at least if I had that and can find the parent root note I can pull up that authors inbox replies. but yeah, got nothin.
I thought you were gonna do flat pizza earth truck 🥲 focus. focus
the key is really, yes, if you can fit it into the relay, like you mentioned with citrine.. but, if it's too big, well, yeah.
then, if you want to bloom, you can do it on the device or service, in any way you see fit. I did think about it a bit tho, directly serving blooms, but the reality is, the scores might matter more than just a true/false type thing and, it wasn't that much savings.
for this size of a set, the WOA scores, about 100k scores. so it's very doable to just grab the scores, either with http api or websocket attestations..
I do see relays as communities yes, but not in the way you might think, more in an augmented way. Even just paying 21 sats, that's a community. It's people that paid 21 sats, all sharing a relay's infrastructure.
There is value in this, for when you want to discover stuff, you could use that relay for example, and AT LEAST it's full of people that paid or were somehow added. vs. if you try to do this on a big free relay, it's not a good experience at all.
Then since that works so well, there are many other things you can do to make those experiences even better.
How did you find anyone to follow? Like, originally.
The relay you subscribed to, you're right, it has no real special purpose it's the first relay I ever ran, and it's one of the last OG relays that just kindof accept anyone who wants to post there given they pay or are in one of my lists. Quite honestly, I think about turning it off or re-purposing it sometimes. But it has some fans, like you, that use it, so I don't.
When I first joined nostr, I had to look at relay feeds to find people because my follow list is ZERO. And I still do this, TO THIS DAY. Does that make sense? Did you join from primal or something where they bootstrapped your follow list for you?
