I had that one! Indeed... you gave me a idea of what to go for on this Prime Day at Amazon, tks!
We can't really turn them off completely. Take X for example: it pretty become the de facto press release channel not only for elected politicians, but for entire government departments.
With this whole CrowdStrike shitshow with Windows, I wonder how many people are dying because of this.
After all, it isn't just airports and banks and such, but there's also hospitals and emergency dispatch services that went down.
This piece of software, intended to bring security to companies, inadvertently caused greater financial and material harm to customers WAAAAAAY beyond any external attacks typically inflict.
Be aware giving kernel-level access to pseudo-security garbage sold to clueless IT managers. That's the lesson here.

Careful there. F2FS has a notoriously weak FSCK (nearly useless) for recovering the file system in the event of failures. It's the type of filesystem truly intended for use on embedded systems with read-only storage or devices with a battery attached. Using it on a removable device is inviting trouble.
If you genuinely don't want ext4 for some reason, at least opt for btrfs, which has more developed user space tools.
If just to transport data around without working on the files directly on the stick, I would go with exFAT for compatibility reasons.
Otherwise, I would go with ext4 (that oddly don't show there) since its really hard do corrupt, and sudden disconnections are a problem with removable drives.
Somehow, I had more meaningful interactions with people here than I ever had on Twitter while I had a profile there a few years ago, despite just a fraction of the followers/following.
That's true, mine is well in excess of 6gb too. But given that I'm running also a IPFS and TOR nodes, ENS, SNS, Unstoppable domains... and lots of extensions, for now I will ignore it.
Watching the slow decline of Firefox over the past 15 years has been like watching the final breaths of a beloved pet.
Now I'm with Brave, and happy. But I can't deny that uneasiness feeling that we may end up with just Chromium derivatives and Webkit.

Krita is a hidden gem. It deserves to be known a lot more than it is.
No, it used to be too costly in the 90s where I lived. =(
Crap people is kinda of a constant since forever, but now looks like we are going thru a mental health pandemic.
I often sense that some people around me struggle to communicate with even a tree, let alone engage in meaningful conversation with another human being.
Zelensky proposes stripping individuals supporting Russia of state titles https://benborges.xyz/2024/07/16/zelensky-proposes-stripping.html
Fair enough. A Hero of Ukraine title to someone who sided with the nation attempting to crush you is senseless.
I'm somewhat of a solo gamer, which is why I avoided Warframe back then. I wouldn't touch a modern MOBA even with a barge pole. But now I'm curious.
For me, it was more like Serious Sam: non-stop walking and shooting. It kills time and stress.
Oddly enough, I liked the strange online experience of Death Stranding.
I sympathize with the author of that article.
These gilded cages of platforms are a menace. Sometimes, choosing whether you will use an Android phone or an Apple one is like having to choose the feudal lord who will rule over me.

Wow, this brings memories from 1999. But back them I was a Window Maker guy, using a dismantled ROX desktop providing things like file manager.
Amazing
Why make something simple if you can make it painful? =)
