There has been a major BRC-20 minting event since March that concluded last week. The mempool dropped off a cliff shortly thereafter. There will likely be more of this grabassery. Casey just threw together smth called Runes, as a BRC-20 "harm mitigation" strategy. Rough yeeting your code into to prod only to have to "mitigate harm" it can cause to bitcoin just months later.
