My point is that all "studies" boil down to the study and structural analysis of anecdotal evidence. And it is explicitly a trend and common occurrences in unstructured anecdotal evidence that is *the beginning* of all scientific inquiry and lays the foundation for investigating things. When bad, of half-assed science, or broad retrospectives which are extremely unreliable and blend millions of uncontrolled factors, is used to refuse to investigate clear correlations, one should look for a conflict of interest or incentive for why an obvious potential risk is being dismissed and avoided beyond all common sense.

It'z a way to force a physical action to unlock. For all the successful blocking or screen time management apps, the surest way for success is to encourage a physical action or to enforce some sort of time delay so that the person's default motion memory can't robot their way through whatever the block is. If all you have to do is hit "ignore," then in like 2 times the brain can completely move through that "barrier" without any thought or conscious decision. It becomes little more than the same motion as opening the app itself.

The idea of making a physical device to unlock the phone again is pretty clever actually. It's kind of like those alarm clocks that drive around on the floor so you have to chase them to cut it off, lol. I think in the context of what they are trying to do, its actually pretty important and might be the difference between something that is easy to ignore and something that may actually force you to weigh the costs of going back and being distracted on your phone again. You can always build taller buildings and humans forever have been making in habitable places habitable. You can always irradiate and put enough energy into nearby elements to obtain more gold and silver, at great expense yes, but no legitimate limit. Therefore the value of all is explicitly capped and cannot reflect society’s growth and prosperity as a measuring tool.

It was one about a patient charged over $1000 with insurance and had a $270 copay, when the “no insurance price” of the very same work was only $44.

Now I can’t find it and am wondering if I even remembered to save it. But this video just shows they are doing the same thing to energy provision… which is a terrible omen for our future unless we find a solution to that as well.

The govt has done such horrific damage to the healthcare and insurance industries that there is an entirely alternative industry of “unapproved” medical professionals and “insurance as crowd funding” being built from the ground up simply to escape the leviathan of insurance/establishment insanity.

We won’t fix the idiocy it created, but in a sly roundabout way we will get honest, sensible care and disaster protection by avoiding their system altogether.

I actually dont have any of their red light therapy products but the quality of their other stuff has been really good. The red light stuff in general has always been pretty expensive for anything nice. Unfortunately you are right, its hard to tell what is super cheap and priced high because they can get away with it, versus actually a really good product. That's why i don't venture out much personally. If i find one that I think is good, i tend to go back.

But there are some other good brands out there though. My wife has the lumebox smaller light and she likes that one alot. Can't remember how the price lines up against other though.

If you use Ai by just asking a question and then accepting whatever it says, *especially* if there is any controversy or novelty around the idea, then you may have a massively inaccurate mental picture of what LLMs are and how they work.

Lopp’s proposal is the only one I know of on this topic that’s sort of concrete in when it’s saying to freeze coins, and every suggestion I have heard is prior to QC being able to do so (as the theft of Satoshis coins would be the obvious and huge first lost to the problem).
