Can I change my DCA from going to my hardware wallet to now going to my Relai lightning wallet, or do I manually have to swap into lightning?
If people insist on paying on-chain then give them an address to a boltz swap or swap-in to liquid and add the fee. I wouldn't accept a 27k sat UTXO and pretend like it's not going to cost me more.
With a swap in you get the sats on your lightning/liquid wallet.

MtGox data would go back to when there was early , significant price discovery.
At inception, there was no price.
I love that site as they also allow you to download their entire database as a zipped CSV. That way you can be your own historical price API within minutes.
Minibits cashu wallet sadly does not yet let you start with a user defined recovery seed.
If they did, you could derive a new seed for your daily ecash wallet using BIP85 and have the master seed backed up in steel in a vault somewhere.
I'm a big fan of BIP85 because you can backup every key with no additional cost.
Anyone know of a FOSS podcast player, that supports streaming sats from a user defined LNbits instance? Or even better: uses a LNURLw as funding source?
Warum stehen im Park Schilder "Füttern schadet den Enten" oder sogar "Enten füttern verboten!", aber im Restaurant kann ich Enten futtern so viel ich will?
Was schadet der Ente jetzt mehr? 🤔🦆

I really would love the option to store my nostr private key with the help of a BIP39 mnemonic.
The real game changer is BIP85 which let's you derive infinite 12/24 seed words for different use cases. You only need the backup the master seed by stamping it into steel for example and can note that the first derived seed is your cold storage, the second your lightning node, the third your nostr identity etc.
Sufficiently secure workaround is to take the sha256sum of the 12 word entropy.
I think that's how it's done in BIP39.
Finally! They mention they used "a third-party service" for their E-Mail before, which is a nice way to avoid saying "we trusted Google Mail with all the E-Mails you sent to us."
It is still beyond me, why they made such a decision when their entire selling point is about data privacy and evil big data..
PGP does not solve the meta data being open for Google to see.
Just to store all my sats on as cold storage and possibly to derive some child keys for family or my lightning wallet using BIP85.
12 or 24 words? What would you create your Wallet with? 🤔
What's the most promising general purpose #meshnetwork out there, that works completely without ISPs? 🤔
great #nostr privacy awareness info from the #amethyst github page:
Privacy on Relays & nostr
Your internet protocol (IP) address is exposed to the relays you connect to. If you want to improve your privacy, consider utilizing a service that masks your IP address (e.g. a VPN) from trackers online.
The relay also learns which public keys you are requesting, meaning your public key will be tied to your IP address.
Relays have all your data in raw text. They know your IP, your name, your location (guessed from IP), your pub key, all your contacts, and other relays, and can read every action you do (post, like, boost, quote, report, etc) with the exception of Private Zaps and Private DMs.
DM Privacy
While the content of direct messages (DMs) is only visible to you and your DM counterparty, everyone can see when you and your counterparty DM each other.
Visibility & Permanence of Your Content on nostr
Information Visibility
Content that you share can be shared to other relays. Information that you share publicly is visible to anyone reading from relays that have your information. Your information may also be visible to nostr users who do not share relays with you.
Information Permanence
Information shared on nostr should be assumed permanent for privacy purposes. There is no way to guarantee edit or deletion of any content once posted.

It is missing an important route of privacy leaks: automated media loading.
As it is right now clients connect to arbitrary web hosts to load embedded media in posts or DMs. The owner of that server can again see your IP address but unlike with relays you do not control which servers you connect to when loading media.
There has recently been a campaign nostr:npub1wq6n8skpdtrhw8hmr00kp2za7a8y97zqngq8jq85q2aydp8ejxzq8p7d9k to link pubkeys to IP addresses by sending a DM with a customized tracking link which clients automatically open because it disguises as an embedded picture.
There is a NIP already to introduce PoW for spam mitigation. If that's implemented at some point, relay operators would not need to exclude Tor/VPN users, they could either demand payment in sats or proof of work for peers, that only want to connect to that relay occasionally.
Automatic cross-posting exists between Nostr and Mastodon and it's not great. Technically it works just fine but if you only check the comments and discussions on one platform than it does not create the same experience on the other.
And even if you were to check comments under both posts you'd be getting the same questions/remarks/jokes twice and a after a while you'd lose interest.
