GM every book, every signing device, every miner and every node comes with a sticker. If you use a female name your sticker will be different in style in comparison with a male name. That’s just how grandfather package packer selects his stickers…

This is the favorite of most people.

So much was discussed in just half an hour.

What is a bitaxe?

What about mining decentralization?

How did BitcoinBrabant exist without fiat payments?

And so much more.

We want to congratulate nostr:npub17plqkxhsv66g8quxxc9p5t9mxazzn20m426exqnl8lxnh5a4cdns7jezx0 with his first full hydro setup. Over the past year Jeroen had joined us on multiple installations and we started to point more and more projects towards Jeroen. This project has been done from first physical contact until final delivery. He is now capable of doing full turnkey solutions including self custody setups. We’re very happy that Jeroen has started his own BV where we will cooperate wherever we can. This year we are already seeing too much work heading our way. Having many people capable of doing proper installations around us is the only way to fulfill demand.

Thank you all for the endless support and we will keep spreading the hash. https://video.nostr.build/415b6dc5fd00577e8047f7a27bbfb3822a1fb93465121899a445f6f7460318fc.mp4

We experienced a DDOS and therefore our nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze DATUM server was offline for a couple hours. For the people mining to our stratum+tcp://pool.bitcoinbrabant.com:7331

We’re back online.

GM this is what the adoption of bitcoin looks like. Consistent orders of books, signing devices and micro miners to learn and use bitcoin. Fulfilling orders every day shows more and more people are starting to wake up to this beautiful life changing technology. (Random emojis used to cover some order details)

Sad you don’t see the big picture. Open source mining development is crucial. People can learn with a bitaxe. When we started we had to import a crazy expensive machine to be able to test some mining with significant problems with regards to information about and maintenance of. Now everything is open source everyone can build maintain and steer these devices. Larger machines will follow where you actually control the hash. That is not the case with any of the proprietary stuff. Even the after market firmware sucks with massive devfee and “calling home”.

The centralization of pools is now laid bare in the open and many bitcoiners through bitaxe are ramping mining efforts to decentralize and take control over their hash.

Your hash chance is low. But millions will make it hit a block rather often. And already there are tens of thousands spread across the globe. It’s just a matter of time before millions are hashing.

The global lottery will have an approximate winner at least once a week. It’s a lottery that helps the network.

It makes people learn about bitcoin.

It will decentralize and open the proprietary bitcoin mining shitshow.

What are we famous for apart from mining in a greenhouse and growing tulips with the heat? Seal bags. We’ve updated our website two weeks ago and decided to standardize ordering in popularity. Our seal bags have been the best seller since we started offering them. And it remains simple. When you put your seed backup or your signing device away, how do you know nobody has touched it? It was the simplest and cheapest solution we could think of. We’ve spread thousands of them to bitcoiners across Europe. Looking at the popularity of other products you’ll also find some interesting surprises. What, in order of appearance of below screenshots makes you wonder? For us the competition between signing devices, but also seeing the cheaper bitaxe being sold as a gift are still beautiful to see. We’re packing everything with love everyday. Thanks for keeping the bitcoin ethos alive! Sovereignty and freedom since #700.000 2021-11-9

The devices are not great with iPhone, because iPhones nfc is heavily permissioned. After two weeks of sending emails up and down with customs and calling the shipper to resolve an unlawful charge, we’re finally going to receive our shipment from the US. Apparently last month the customs did an update of their system and 4 year old incorrect data of companies became the main data. We had to sign a document with an address where we were located 4 years ago, so we made them aware that we have all customs documentation and import permits and this is totally incorrect. After sending reminder mails and calling multiple times there was still no clarification or response. The last call was really startling. They said it was such a mess at customs, so many problems it was unbelievable. They were going to do their best for us. After reminding them last night that we still didn’t get any mail or confirmation the below short text finally came.

“Customs has made the necessary adjustments. Your shipment has been released.

You no longer need to make payment for the receipt of your shipment.”

We’ve spend many many hours on this. Having a business in EU you spend most of your time on (taxes, laws, insurance, banks, payment providers, customs, shippers, lawyers, scammers etc) constantly delivering endless documentation to all kinds of parties. Also the amount of questions and information we had to supply with our banks is utterly insane.

Luckily we’ve got everything in order but it’s a huge pain. Our admin files folder has hit over 20k documents to store for tax purposes. If you think running a company is fun, would like to repeat some famous words “it’s like eating glass”. And it’s not because it’s painful from the positive developments, it’s always the majority of time spend on the leeches of our society. The world has to move to a bitcoin standard.

Remco delivered proof of work by making sure we could compile the nostr:npub1qvwdl9rp7a5ghrxv57wnml5ehg2whjh708vys6kaxpkgu0z3aclsuy2h4p startOS node. Now he has received the hotrod of bitcoin miners. Today we had an interesting talk with a customer that bought multiple signers and multiple backup plates. The question was regarding data. We have explained this more often, but maybe we need to recap this:

- we delete all order data that is linked to you, this means name, address, e-mailadres, phone, ip address

- we save the order number with what was ordered so we can find the specific order back if there is something about it, as we don’t hold additional data we can’t every reach out to you. No newsletters, no bullshit, no reaching out for whatever, ever after you received your order

- if you chose regular shipping we manually put the order in the shippers website, this because it’s then not linked to an account with the shipper. For multiple years we’ve asked shippers about their security, and basically everyone has access to shipping data accounts. Also shipping accounts are not possible to 2FA. So we simply input every order manually. Next to that every unencrypted API to your website is a risk too.

- if you chose private shipping we put stamps on it, write the address on the package by hand and throw it in our local postbox, fully anonimous but it has no tracking. And you have to trust it doesn’t get lost on the way…

It’s still unbelievable how many people order with fiat. All your data is shared including order details with the payment provider. We still warn people that checkout with us and we put a premium for the additional cost, but people in general still find it too much work to use Lightning in ~50% of the orders. How can we improve this?
