Where in the world is Hector Escobedo? Take a guess.

Visiting a country where you don't speak the language at all, by yourself, is challenging. Finding this out right now in Taiwan lol

I'm in Taipei, eating your baozi!

Human Rights Watch is of the opinion that the current proposal is not strong enough as a binding treaty so I think we might dodge this particular bullet anyway

What is there to do in Akihabara besides electronics shopping and maid cafes?

In dog years, I'm already nearing my second century. 🐶⏳

Royal milk tea is probably the best beverage ever invented. Yes, it's really sugary, but I don't care. 🥛

The cash culture in Japan is a good thing in general. Good for privacy and financial inclusion. The bills are different sizes, which is a sensible design choice to help the visually impaired. One yen coins should be eliminated, like US pennies. Inflation has made them useless.

When checking out at convenience stores and some other establishments, the cashier doesn't touch your money. Instead you insert cash and coins into a machine. Makes it seem a little weird because in US stores, you just put the money on the counter and the cashier counts it and puts in the till by hand. Japan also has TONS of vending machines. To me it's funny that in Japan you take cash from ATMs and later just put it into other machines, for the most part.

Nostr-in is going well so far. Yin stage? Yang stage? Some of both!

Looking forward to NostrAsia in Tokyo! Loving the city so far. The food is great.

Can't go without Internet stuff for one day? The first step is admitting you have a problem Sherry

Every math major has heard stories about Erdős. He was a very colorful character. I think one of my professors met him once. Unlike him though, I'm not a morning person lol
