But you might be right. I don't know the full ins-and-outs of the treaties 😁
nostr:npub13dm2zkgpnmnmcgxn40vz65u5t6xenp6hkvpmm6fdumr8g36c3ytqls2rl0 yes, maritime traffic could well be a problem nostr:npub18t7x4shldmcqd9gyx7uv2pqrku7fd7nnq3hq9d625v5rff3nphjqg48ymj
nostr:npub15zu89j2k6sja8qgcs5qdu2pfra5kemhlgeern2cpcw2svkuvkudqu3s7lx That's a good point, I hadn't considered the limitation of "where can we install the turbine". I doubt we have enough wind turbine density to see significant impacts, even if that's possible. I did some searching and came across this: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-wind-turbines-affect-temperature/
Looks like studies so far say effects are very localized.

Building renewables like solar and wind requires a lot of land, one thing Singapore doesn’t have. https://www.japantimes.co.jp/environment/2023/08/03/singapore-technology-new-climate-era/?utm_content=buffer8fc95&utm_medium=social&utm_source=mastodon&utm_campaign=bffmstdn #environment #singapore #tech #climatechange
nostr:npub18t7x4shldmcqd9gyx7uv2pqrku7fd7nnq3hq9d625v5rff3nphjqg48ymj well, there's always sea-based wind farms
nostr:npub15zu89j2k6sja8qgcs5qdu2pfra5kemhlgeern2cpcw2svkuvkudqu3s7lx I wonder how they calculate that. It can't be 100% of the wind in the region-- that would mess up the weather. So how do they determine the right amount of wind to divert 🤔
nostr:npub1stdk78dkwad3dtdvez7pasryruv2aegcf8cm02hfhkea5qc80uusdt4r04 not sure wind turbines have that big an influence on overall wind - I've never seen evidence of that, at least. have you?
I imagine limitation is more good places to stick turbines...
