I recently shared my perspective on teaching respect when receiving a gift:
"Teach your children to look the person in the eyes and say, 'Thank you.'"
The parent replied, "Eye contact could make some kids uncomfortable, so parents shouldn’t force them to do it."
While I understand that sensitivity, I can’t help but wonder: If we coddle our children so much that they avoid basic social skills like looking someone in the eye, how can we expect them to develop the strength of character needed to take responsibility for something as important as holding their own Bitcoin?

🌟 Committed to Growth: My Toastmasters Journey 🌟
A big thank you to Janan Sarwar for inviting me to a local Toastmasters meeting last night.
Every time I attend one of these sessions, I walk away inspired, challenged, and motivated to keep improving.
Over the past two decades, I’ve dipped in and out of Toastmasters meetings sporadically.
Life was busy, and I never found the time to commit fully.
But now, the stars have aligned, and I’m ready to embrace this journey wholeheartedly.
My goal? To become a stronger, more powerful communicator who can articulate the critical importance of money literacy education.
Here are just a couple of the gems I took away from this meeting:
Pace Yourself 🫀: One seasoned speaker shared how he taps his hand over his heart to slow down, pace himself, and articulate his message clearly. It’s a simple gesture, but it’s a reminder that being deliberate in your communication is powerful.
Be Yourself 💬: This speaker also reminded us that our unique communication styles are our superpowers. Instead of imitating others, lean into your authenticity—it’s what makes your message truly resonate.
Paint Pictures with Words 🎨: A different speaker who shared a vivid story about a NASA scientist preparing his team for a rocket launch in 1969 drove home the power of storytelling to inspire and connect.
If you’ve never visited a Toastmasters meeting, I can’t recommend it enough.
You’ll meet an incredible community of dedicated people who are all actively working to improve themselves.
It’s humbling and invigorating to be surrounded by that kind of energy.
Communication is something we all do, every day, all day.
Why not invest in becoming more efficient, effective, and impactful?

💔🐾 A Heartbreaking Thanksgiving and What It Highlighted About Money 💔🐾
This Thanksgiving, my daughter brought our foster dog, Tux 🐕, to visit his former owner.
The woman had been moved to a nursing home because of Alzheimer’s, and Tux was left behind in her backyard until a rescue group found him.
She cried for weeks after losing her dog 😢.
Tux stayed at the rescue facility for almost a year, spending most of his time in a kennel...until he came to us.
When she saw Tux again this weekend, she was overjoyed—but saying goodbye broke her heart all over again 💔.
She begged my daughter to take good care of him. It was a moment that left us all in tears 😭.

🎉 Celebrating a Big Moment in Ghana! 🎉
This morning, I had the honor of speaking to the first women’s Bitcoin cohort graduates with Bitfiasi Initiative. Thank you, Gideon Kombian and Lydia Sena Ami Kudowor, for inviting me to this celebration!
To encourage the graduates, I reflected on my journey, full of unexpected turns, that brought me to where I am today, filled with joy and purpose.
Here are some of the pivotal life moments I shared with these amazing women:
👉 Choosing to stay home with my baby (instead of pursuing my career) taught me to follow my heart, not just my head.
👉 Choosing to homeschool for 20 years (instead of sending my kids to school) gave me valuable experience in teaching.
👉 Choosing to go down the Bitcoin rabbit hole (instead of accepting the norm) helped me understand how money really works.
👉 Choosing to devote full time to teaching women about money (instead of getting a "job") gave me the confidence to speak and celebrate the female voice.
To the graduates, I said:
💡 “Society may push you to follow the ‘normal’ path, but you have the power to choose what’s right for you. Trust your instincts and values.”
Here’s my advice:
