Web of Trust relies on personal endorsements. As it grows, trust clusters form where people mostly trust those who share their views. This creates closed circles and makes it tough for new or differing voices to get heard, turning the network into echo chambers rather than truly scaling.
It’s not critical thinking issue! The community on here cares more about its core interests like bitcoin and nostr and isn’t drawn to other topics.
Whoever tells you on #nostr to follow thousands of accounts clearly has no idea what they’re talking about and is just trying to benefit themselves-gaining reach and influence while the protocol is still young! Eventually, #nostr will need a proper open-source algorithm that people can choose and add to their feeds. The Web of Trust is a BS idea that only leads to an echo chamber and can’t be scaled!
P.S. This is the killer feature everyone’s been chasing but can’t seem to find-because it’s right in front of their eyes that can’t be seen
Relay on your phone, Tor, non-custodial wallets, self-hosted media, and file sharing are already available to everyone on #nostr with extra steps and research! If client devs make setup easier for normies, we’ll all be truly sovereign individuals!

The approach being used is taken from centralized platforms, and it doesn’t make any sense! We need something else!
There is actually an algo! They are called “those who joined #nostr a while ago” If they do not follow you and repost your notes, you have 0 reach! To fix this issue, nostr devs should implement an open-source algo that we can use to be able to get our voices heard and spread to those who want to see it!
That’s going to happen AFTER I accomplish the skills and will be releasing to the public use
