**TJ Maxx and Marshalls clerks now wearing police-like body cams.**
"TJX isn’t alone. In a survey of major chains by the National Retail Federation last year, 35% of US retailers said they were researching body cameras for employees. The manufacturer of Taser devices and other security companies are now designing and marketing body cameras specifically for retail workers."

WEAR "COVID" MASKS IN PUBLIC.
DO NOT PARK IN THE MAIN PARKING LOT IF YOU WISH TO AVOID CAR TAG/RFID SCANNERS ETC.
There are also anti-facial recognition eyewear companies like https://www.reflectacles.com/ that claim to fool facial recognition systems using infrared for illumination and systems using 3D infrared mapping/scanning that I will be testing soon.
Stay private out there. This kind of surveilance capitalism is only going to get worse.

Damn. I hate this shit. Next will be citizens doing the same to ‘fight back’ except they’ll do it via Amazon and we all lose harder.
I might get a really long pointy stick to maintain a safe distance. Maybe they were right about social distancing after all.
Exactly.
X’s time is up, focus one something different.
It’s like Meta federating with ActivityPub. Shit.
Welcome to institutional money.
Innit, so much guff gets spouted about it but when peoples land gets turned over else where, totally blind.
Cunts.
Check this out, just seen a snail doing the pole-vault.

It’s 2024 and there’s still communist clowns begging for daddy government for lock downs again.🤣🤡

Why only 2026? Needs to be at least 2097 otherwise we’re all gonna die.
I’m pretty terrible at that sort of thing, maybe they could give me a job!
Yeah this is very much an educational project. Until 2020 I had very basic computer understanding, I knew my music apps very well but fuck all else.
The music world is very tied to Apple and I don't really like that. My long term goal has been to switch to Linux. However, I broke the screen on my laptop, which whilst repairable, is also expensive, so I bought the same model again second hand.
Now I'm keeping the old one as a dedicated music machine, it works fine when plugged into a monitor, essentially it's now a Mac Mini.
This machine I'm on now is dual boot, so I'm on Mac OS if I'm using it for a live show but I have the option of learning Linux and testing things out too. Maybe it's a stupid thing to do but I want to have at least some protection from the killer robots with lasers.
I’m such a Linux n00b… what’s DE?
Ubuntu vs. Fedora
I installed Asahi Fedora on M1 Mac, struggling to install Mullvad Browser and Proton. The machine is being run as a general daily computer (music stuff will still be done on Mac).
As far as I can tell this is due to ARM vs 86-64? I don’t fully understand to be honest but Ubuntu seems more generally supported.
I’m wondering if it’s worth trying the Ubuntu flavour, or am I over thinking this? My Linux knowledge to date has been Debian related.
