One of my favourite TV moments was when Alessio Rastani went on BBC and “the governments do not run the world, Goldman Sachs rules the world”. He smashed it out the park.
I’ll try to keep the UKPol to a minimum here but I seriously hope Liz Truss dons some Union Jack face paint and tries to storm parliament later today.
Funny though, Starmer’s party got less actual votes than Corbyn but history will report him as a major winner and Corbyn a massive loser.
Bread and circuses. The war machine continues unabated.
A well rounded analysis.
england is a shitcoin
Yeah I’ve not been comfortable with the idea of a single account for all the web, no matter how convenient. One service gets hacked and bang goes all that data
Agreed, American exceptialism is pretty comical, reminds me of British exceptialism and look at that shit hole now.

Does it provide decent sitting facilities? My cat George would like to know.
Last night we supported Kiioto (Lou Rhodes from Lamb's new project).
Only 30 people came, a massive shame, she's a fantastic singer and writer.
Venue manager, said it's the hardest it's ever been (and it's always been tough)
In our set, I said if people like us, buy music at Bandcamp and fuck Spotify because we don't get paid.
We got some sales this morning but really felt for the headline, who also said how important physical sales were for them.
The indie music scene looks bleak.

Privatise the profits, socialise the losses!
PPI going into hyper-drive.
Good morning folks,
England is changing it's political colour today. I don't think people are ready for the acceleration of Public/Private initiatives which lead to the extraction of capital from the state into private hands.
I look forward to more privatisation of profits and socialising the loses. It's all very exciting...
Obviously the consensus here is that the system should be fully private. I'm agnostic as I haven't seen that actually happen anywhere, the USA is supposed to be the closest to that but as we all know that's far from the case. Ok maybe Singapore or Dubai? But having never been there, I only have anecdotal evidence.
Anyway, I think this PPI set up is actually worse than bog standard socialism. You get the worst of money printing, whilst increasing the wealth gap.
There's a lot of YOU MUST DO THIS or THIS WILL HAPPEN today (not on Nostr, to be fair). I don't buy it. Welcome to the new boss, same as the old boss.... or maybe a little worse lol.
I'm going to try and keeping thinking of ideas to keep myself and my partner afloat regardless.
