LibreOffice is free. Period.
But! Nothing saying you can't take that MS subscription fee and do an annual recurring donation to LibreOffice 😅

Ummm.... So I found out how easy it is to make peanut butter...
Like.. It's peanuts. In a blender/processor. And that's it.
Like what the fuck.
I eat a lot of peanut butter. But I hated how much sugar was in it. I tried the "organic" or "sugar free" and its disgusting.
A local place makes peanut butter and focuses on flavored peanut butter (think cinnamon toast crunch peanut butter, spicy chili peanut butter, etc).
But I always just liked their plane peanut butter.
But it was so expensive.
But then I found out I could just by the peanuts... shelled... in bulk... and it's less than half the cost of even cheap store brand peanut butter....
...and it takes like 2 minutes to make.
And tastes amazing. And no added sugar... because I didn't add any sugar.
What the fuck.

Companies hire me to do so in order to test the security of their systems and buildings. As I'm able to do so, I show them how I did so they can fix it before other folks can do it for malicious reasons.
My current job is testing security with an organization that aligns with my solarpunk and post-scarcity values.
I don't go into details publicly, in order to protect the organization, but meet with me in person, build my trust, and maybe after a couple of months and over a glass of rye we'll discuss it :P
With all the BS of Apple doing their AI spying (amongst other issues), it's that time of year where I once again look for a "third party" phone to migrate to as a daily driver.
I've followed lots of Linux phones (running Ubuntu Touch, KDE Plasma Mobile, postmarketOS and others), feature phones running KaiOS, and others.
Heck I was even building my own phone on an RPi years ago (https://web.archive.org/web/20210725154717/https://www.tinker.sh/kde-plamo-rpi/ ) and have been following the PinePhone project for a very long time.

Really I just need a phone that runs Signal and can run some sort of GPS app. Everything else I can do via a web browser.
I hate Apple/iOS phones. The only thing I hate more than Apple phones are Google/Android phones.

It's okay that Bluesky will be successful and replace Twitter.
Most people like the service that a corporation gives to them. Most people are willing to trade the cons that go with that for the pros they receive.
I came to the Fediverse because I - personally - can't take those cons anymore. And the pros here work for me, again personally.
I don't need all the people in the world to use the Fediverse for me to enjoy the community here. Heck, most people didn't use Twitter. They used (and still use) Tiktok, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat more.
Let people use Bluesky. I hope they enjoy it and it enriches their lives. It doesnt for me, so I won't be going. But we already have a critical mass here and its fine.
