Mints are independent of each other. You can hold ecash of many mints but if you have 200 sats with of ecash from mint A and mint A rugs you lose those 200 sats. But your sats at mint B are not effected

With fedimint the guardians have to collude to do that with cashu there is no multi sig

eCash has been around here for a while. This is just the first app implementation I’ve seen. It’s a way to hold sats in a federated mint (fedimint) that can be used more privately than the Lightning network. And you can run your own mint so you don’t need to trust anyone else’s.

Enuts is #cashu not fedi mint. It's not federated.

I heard a podcast, downloaded the app, went through the onboarding process, and that’s about it. It seems like the use case is mainly for local communities. It’s hard to study something when there’s no immediate need for it I guess. But maybe I’m missing something.

They target it like that as is custodial it's best to limit the degrees of separation between you and the custodians, guardians as fedi calls them.

I just used Wormhole with a friend of mine to send him 6GB of data but the website we used ( https://wormhole.io ) was ... awful. xD I wish there was a better way - and maybe a Nostr Native one? Would be an amazing addition to a private chat; send files directly to the other person and stuff. o.o

One reboot later and NWC works once more.

Now on to zap some stuff before I go do housework o.o And bang out to some amazing metal! Dream Theater, anyone?

I found a couple places where the loop could be breaking. A bit surprised there isn't anything in the logs but small chance one of those is the problem. Compiling it to test I didn't break anything now.

Partially. Sometimes it just loves to crash still. Like right now; cln is up and technically the NWC too - but i just sent a Zap request, and it just isn't doing anything. So I guess it crashed but I see nothing in the logs.

After a reboot it usually works again; but it takes a hot minute for my node to restart and reconnect each time. Dunno what that is.
