Other than University or school, there's not much opportunity in today's world to meet lots of new people. (I was telling WhiteCat-san also the same thing).
Even work, you meet some new people but not as many as in college. So best alternative is matching app. But problem with matching app is that it makes it seems like there are too many options but truth is that's not the case, as there are many constraints.
