So (mostly) tax free in USA. There’s some f federal obligations, but there’s also clawbacks on foreign non-resident tax payer. Plus non-USA based income doesn’t need to be declared to USA in this circumstance
Almost. You make the US address primary, leave Canadian residency, don’t hit the 183 day threshold. If you’re not an American citizen, you also don’t spend enough time in US to trigger taxes. I go south Jan-April so there’s no way I can be in either Canada or USA and risk triggering the tax threshold. You can still get VT drivers license, etc but it’s not a license with residency privileges.
This is for Quebec-based Bitcoiners looking to avoid Canadian taxes. My neighbors farm in Vermont, right on the border, is for sale. I want a Bitcoiner to buy this place. It’s 1hr15mins to Montreal.
