We started weening goat kids yesterday so today was the first day of milking oh man do I love me some goat milk

In case you didn’t know we had one of the largest solar flares in over 20 years which caused a huge magnetic storm resulting in wide spread aurora borealis that could be seen as far south as the Bahamas

we are running bresse and copper Moran right now and both of those are a pretty hardy bird, but I would say any large body bird would be good fit

We started out with a few of the Easter eggers they call them,mostly because the wife wanted colorful eggs

I would say the most important part is knowing where your going to keep them and how your gonna process the poop cause it adds up

We hatched a bunch of chicks this year this is our 3rd hatch this year and I have found that a hi humidity point has increased our hatch rate a bunch

We are in a low humidity area so we keep it at around 70%

This is our first year doing well with a hatch rate at around 80%
