If #nostr goes big time it will have: 1) institutional mints, 2) enterprise relays, and 3) business clients.

This is me getting multi mints working for #safebox #Cashu wallet. Successful, I might add. Code commit coming soon!

Combining payments and social into a singular global capability. I see that possibility now #nostr, #cashu and #bitcoin

If you’ve ever written a wallet algorithm for swapping tokens between #Cashu mints, you’ll understand

Yeah. Great way to put it. I find hope here. The other stuff has become hopeless, I’m afraid.

I am bullish on #nostr because now I see ways to actually implement things that I simply regarded up to now as virtue-signalling bullshit. For example:

- data sovereignty

- data interoperability

- data stewardship

- data portability

- open platforms

- independence from apps, vendors, operators

- permissionless blah, blah

- …

#nostr might not be perfect, nor fully developed, but I see entire greenfield of new solutions, a possibility that I have not seen in decades.

Onward!

Social Media now needs to be combined with Economic Media (#bitcoin + #nostr) for something entirely new.

Madeira is a great place for field testing a payment solution. I did that during #SEC02 of nostr:npub1s0veng2gvfwr62acrxhnqexq76sj6ldg3a5t935jy8e6w3shr5vsnwrmq5 with awesome results! nostr:note1zdeyukey50uxzlu6szhy35xrds28m7h5mcg2aszkz06eyx2ekgmspqktjj

My estimation is that only 10% of GDP activity is truly productive. The balance GDP activity (the other 90%) is largely dedicated to taking away the consumer or producer surplus of this 10% true productivity. Fiat makes this taking away of surplus extraordinarily efficient.

Soon this #breach stuff will stop making the headlines and breaches will be a matter of course.

This really pisses me off to an infinite degree that I never want to store any personal information unless the records of each individual is encrypted with a separate private key.

I firmly believe, that for confidentiality, protection needed to rest on a secured private key - nothing else. That’s why I am experimenting with storing all information encrypted on relays. The data is out in the open to begin with, but it’s all encrypted nostr:note13dywe8vgv70guvdgq5l822krarvchn84yq0y7w4qtdkpsh9ndpqsl9cyah

Curious if anyone is following the NIST PQC standardization and wondering if the post-quantum threat is an issue with #nostr and/or secp256k1?

Image of #nostr safeboxes orbiting the earth, securely accessible from anywhere by the #nsec holder but out of reach for everyone else.

Money is first for capital allocation, second, for capital assets.

Micropayments are great for machines, but lousy for humans. Humans love membership. I think there is a possibility to combine membership (paid-up npub) with the ability to disburse micropayments along the way.
