It's hardly interactive with itself. If I wanted to get attention from the several minipainting instances I'd best create several accounts and post to them all. I do put hashtags under all my Pixelfed posts, but this helps nothing for reach.

Following people works but how do I discover people who are spread across instances I can't post to? I feel much more at home on Lemmy, it has the networked interactivity I hoped for from the fediverse at large.
