The four stages of Trump's mix of law and politics
Stage one - the criminal legal process and the political process are distinct and separate.
Stage two - the criminal legal process is for opponents - “lock her up!” and “her emails!” and“Hunter Biden!”.
Stage three - the criminal legal process as a campaign and fundraising tool - the current position.
Stage four - whatever happens next, whether Trump is found guilty on indictment or exonerated.
