This week marks eight years of traveling — a full eight years of living a nomadic lifestyle with no base and no home. As a minimalist, everything I own fits into a 40L backpack.
This wasn't my dream; it happened due to injustice, because of what my country did to me and my life. But over time, I’ve learned that you can build something good from the rocks thrown in your path. My life changed completely, and I am a totally different person now. Whether that’s for better or worse, I may never know.
But this journey has given me something I never would have found in any other way of life. I’ve realized that possessions should serve you, not the other way around — clutter only owns you. What once seemed like destruction eventually led to a better life.
