The highest degree of belief in Islam is love; you are speaking without knowledge and if you read about Islam you would know that it is a fair religion that gives every person own rights within the limits of God. Again read about prophet Jesus peace be upon him in the previous link (he is not God, he is not the son of God, he is only a human and we (Muslim people) are waiting for his return).

Also, there is a dispute about the age of one of the wives of prophet Mohamed peace be upon him and in some narration it is said to be 14 years old and that marriage in that age was common at their time and not wrong at all. The wife in concern is also one of the most knowledgeable that used to be a reference to teach the Islamic religion.

Anyways, regarding the marriage age in Islam, it’s advised to test the judgement of the person in order to decide if they are able to face marriage or not and it’s also advisable to get married early.

Only recently the marriage age was brought to 18 years old. However even in Europe not long ago, girls used to get married as early as 14 years old or even earlier.

So from my opinion we can’t judge the customs or marriage age of more than 1400 years ago or seek to apply terms that were introduced recently on people of that time.

4:6 Nasa

And test the orphans [in their abilities] until they reach marriageable age. Then if you perceive in them sound judgement, release their property to them. And do not consume it excessively and quickly, [anticipating] that they will grow up. And whoever, [when acting as guardian], is self-sufficient should refrain [from taking a fee]; and whoever is poor - let him take according to what is acceptable. Then when you release their property to them, bring witnesses upon them. And sufficient is Allah as Accountant.

Your book is false. Christ is God. I invite you to join a better religion. Jesus Christ is a better example to follow than Mohammed. Christ was sinless, Mohammed was not. We do not believe in three God's but the three persons of God, the father, the son and the holy spirit. They share the same will. They form the godhead. Christ was crucified, and rose from the dead three days later. His tomb is empty, Mohammed's is not. God chose to take s human form, but he is God. He calls himself the first and the last, the alpha and the omega, is that not what Allah is called? Christ will come again to split the flock, I will pray you repent as you will have to bend the knee when he returns, I would rather you be saved by Christ than spend an eternity in fire.

I mean no offense to you personally, I just reject your religion. I consider you my brother, even if you hated me, we are commanded by Christ to love one another as ourselves and even love our enemies.

Praise be to God.

Seeing some dramatic northern lights tonight.

Woke up annoyed today.

Last night we busted our 12.5 YO for having an Instagram account. (Apparently she opened it last week, convinced her best friend to open one, friend got busted by her mom, mom texts my wife, busted.)

I’m not really angry at her for doing something we told her never to do — when you raise a kid who questions authority, inevitably she questions YOUR authority too.

But I’m pissed because the cunts at Instagram and Tic Tock et al have essentially taken away my daughter’s freedom to discover the world for herself.

We’ve recently let her roam the city, surf the web on her Raspberry Pi, etc. We want her to experience the benign neglect of Gen X. Back then, maybe a few kids got hooked on drugs, but it was by far the exception. Mostly, we just did normal stupid shit and learned from it.

Now though you can’t leave them to their own devices because drug addition (smart phones, which she doesn’t yet have, but many of her friends do and social media) is the norm.

It would be like growing up in a drug-infested city where you couldn’t let your kids out of the house by themselves at all.

I don’t want to spy on her, have to constantly police what she’s being exposed to, but the world has ever more potent ways of hooking them now. (The other scourge is this retarded “skin care” trend wherein they buy toxic af products and use them, another battle to fight.)

When the society is your enemy, being a parent is tough. Makes me want to move to the country and home school, though my wife has no appetite for that. (Truth is, I don’t really either, but I would do it if we got to the point where I felt it were necessary.)

Just fucking annoyed at the evil of our society and the dim-witted, fit-in-at-all-costs ethos of other parents.

Move to the country, you won't regret it. You'll find more people with values like yours. Discover gardening, growing your own food which will be way better for you and much tastier. Your stress level will go way down because it's well known that being in nature is healing. In fact there are studies that show that walking in the woods on a regular basis increases IQ.

We have the original Greek Gospels, so the "translated many times" thing, isn't a thing. Yes it's been translated into many languages, because contrary to what the media and government spout, Christianity isn't a white European religion. Jesus was a Jew. The earliest copies of the Bible were Ethiopian as well as one of its oldest churches.

The only difference in any of the Bibles has to do with the number of books in the old testament that, say the Catholic and Protestant churches use, but the gospels (New Testament) are all the same 27 books used by every sect.

Also a vast majority of wars were not caused by religion and don't get me started in the crusades, that was a response to centuries of Muslim aggression. I'm not saying that bad people haven't used religion for evil, but by definition they are no longer Christians.
