I use mine for my own personal spending in a private fashion. I have been doing this for 3 years now and am on my third node purely from experimenting. Yes the risk is not zero, but my real experience is I've not lost any SATs. And yes I did open a bunch of my channels at 1 sat.

My personal setup is OBW with a real channel manually created direct to my node. You can always do the same to any node you like of course.
I've not used it myself, but its a proven wallet. Just use it what it is meant for, same for all custodial wallets, which is for small amounts which you wouldn't mind losing if you get rugged. Think of it as the wallet or purse you carry cash around in. Use the same limit as that which will be a different amount for each of us.
