"For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it." Patrick Henry "More law, less justice". Cicero

Reflecting on the past year.

Having a record sales month and still not being able to cover bills is a perfect description of the fiat economy right now.

Winning looks different depending on the context.

If you're surviving during this global depression and 4th turning then you are winning.

The world won't always be struggling the way it is now, it will get better, for everyone, it will take time to restore the mistakes of the past but we are on the road to recovery.

Keep going!

Happy new year Pam! It's so good to see your notes again, it's been a min πŸ’›

I had a similar year (like the last 3 years) of slowly building in the quiet. I think those times of unglamorous consistency are vital to growth and success.

Courage for me has been more about fortitude and long-suffering than passion.

Shedding the year of the snake, and looking forward to the year of the horse.

Happy new year!! Nice quick scope πŸ”₯

I fear that takes us down the hunger games road where we become the evil that we rebelled against, just under a different authoritarian.

But I am hopeful for a sovereign society of individuals that won't surrender their power, money, and energy to a central authority or anyone.

That's a fair point. I think it was Nietzsche that said "no matter how strong the individual is, the collective is always stronger" (paraphrased)

But I wonder how the Individual can protect themselves from their own government, since historically that's a much higher threat.

I want to believe that there is a benefit to having nations, but I struggle to see how, when all those who obtain power eventually abuse it.

I shed a tear man, you can feel the love for our generation.

Standing on the shoulders of giants.

Oh yeah I play guitar almost every day, piano not as much anymore, but will get back into it when I have space for one. My oldest daughter is a drummer, and another one is considering audio engineering school.

Music is such a great lesson in self determination and patience.
