Nevertheless, 6yo fell in love with her, carries her around and gives her kisses for her to come alive, so it's a win.

It really is very healing!
Personally I like oil painting better, and I actually find it way more manageable than acrylic 😅
You are right, is not about time, in this case it was all about trying new stuff out... I go to this workshop to push myself, to get out of my comfort zone and experiment. Is not that my goal is to paint fast, it is to never stop trying out new ways of creating.
So many 😅 I start by mixing colors on my palette with the spatula... but I usually never use them as such, I then mix them with the brush to create more colors before I actually paint the canvas.
For this exercise I was trying to do everything as fast as possible, with a big bristle brush. I was hoping to get it done in 1 session... but I'll need at least a second!

I've been slowly getting back to oil painting... I felt like I had lost all the knowledge, but it's amazing how it starts flowing back!
I'm painting my favorite great uncle to recover my skills and learn more... I think that after this I might start painting memes for practice... which one should I start with?
