So many π I start by mixing colors on my palette with the spatula... but I usually never use them as such, I then mix them with the brush to create more colors before I actually paint the canvas.
For this exercise I was trying to do everything as fast as possible, with a big bristle brush. I was hoping to get it done in 1 session... but I'll need at least a second!
Good things take time! Whatβs the rush for?
I was so recently interested in painting so I got set up with a few acrylic paints and different brushes. It is a lot more difficult than I imagined. And i hear oil paints are more difficult to handle.
Itβs a fun hobby nonetheless. To make something for the sake of making it is a very freeing feeling. I feel most of my brain and body were geared towards profit and economic gain prior to this endeavor
You are right, is not about time, in this case it was all about trying new stuff out... I go to this workshop to push myself, to get out of my comfort zone and experiment. Is not that my goal is to paint fast, it is to never stop trying out new ways of creating.
