I never grasped the concept of investing in funds (stocks) comprised of companies that magically grow my savings. Diversified portfolios are the key they say! Just sit back and watch the money “grow”. School rarely teaches what the hell that means. What it means now is gambling in a system that is finally showing its cracks.

My wife and I bought our first home today. Not as a financial investment, but as an investment in our family and our happiness.

It's not lost on us that this dream is increasingly out of reach for a lot of people our age. I feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled into /r/bitcoin all those years ago... One of those moments that splitners your timeline and changes everything. I'm a different person because of it, doing things I would otherwise likely struggle to do. Not just financially, but personally also.

Without a doubt, the easiest social media on-boarding experience ever. I did not expect this from Nostr. What am I missing? Was lead to believe this would have technical hurdles. Wooohooo.

I went from just being a cold storage bitcoin Hodlr for a few years and now within the span of a couple weeks I have a Start 9 server, running a Lightning node with a few channels, running Bitaxe miners using Datum Gateway and Knots, and now here in am on Nostr.
