Just a random Bitcoin lover and physicist. Don’t be scared if I sometimes switch to German 🇩🇪

One of the most abnormal things I‘ve seen in the UK so far: Decaf coffee packed into teabags (!!!) to stir and squeeze it and then drink 😂😂😂

You‘re right. First, Revolut has been pretty „crypto friedly“ in the past. In fact, it now offers to buy bitcoin directly in the app and you can even send bitcoin to Revolut from an external wallet to then sell it for fiat (never tried this though). Second, probably Revolut doesn’t „want“ to connect the dots. It benefits from P2P in general. An indirect proof for this guess is Wise, which is very restrictive with respect to P2P fiat transactions and want to know literally everything you do.

So I guess Revolut is the lesser evil as you say.

Revolut doesn‘t know you’re stacking sats, it only sees that you’re sending some money to other users. But sure, 100% non-kyc is only when you meet in person and exchange cash vs corn. This is not always easy though… nostr:note1k2my5g8kkvvnfkqtp99sy30alrumc4p3epe7cwvvc0y6ct948e3sdvy9y6

The cute kid spent too much time hunting harvesters on Arrakis 🙃 nostr:note1r7jltmya6nagrra3du0lpns8v89xgwxx7t5097fup2pq6xg8fups4hmxzy

Number still go up!

AFAIK Blockstream offers its own LN implementation called CLN, which allows you to connect your own LN node and use it in conjunction with Jade and Green app. It’s 100% self-custody service, meaning you need some background knowledge to set it up. In contrast, BitBox collaborates with Breez to provide a noncustodial LN wallet within their app for micropayments, which doesn’t need much skill to set it up (available only for Android phones though).

But Jade is cool in a different way because they offer L-BTC as intermediate storage for high-fee periods. That means, you stack sats as usual via Lightning (e.g. Robosats), accumulate this corn and then swap into L-BTC on your Jade. Once you have accumulated enough L-BTC, you swap it into normal Mainchain Bitcoin in your cold storage (also Jade, but a different sub-wallet). I really recommend watching the tutorial by nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 about Jade.

Blockstream Jade = easy to set up and handle, BitBox = a little bit more advanced but still easy to handle, plus they have recently implemented lightning, Cold Card = pretty advanced, but extremely safe.

Yes, it’s still too early 😊

🫡 happy that it’s been running stably for quite a while already

I guess a really big one is going to happen when bitcoin hits 100k, a lot of crypto degens will sell and we’ll absorb cheap corn 🌽🫡❤️

It really seems like a lot of people set their sell orders to sell at 73k, 74k, 75k and so on 😂 I expect multiple of those dips in the next weeks

My life in a few pictures 😐

Frankly, the way Bitbox and ColdCard advertise their products really makes you think this fancy thing is really there to store a heavy file with something expensive in it 😂
