We live in interesting times for sure!

Ray Dalio (of Bridgewater fame) recently wrote a book about the great cycles in history. Has some petty good insights & shows interesting parallels. And it comes to the same conclusion, namely that we‘re on the final stretch of our civilization and moving rapidly towards a new „dark age“.

My 2 sats : Bitcoin, Nostr, Bluesky, Web5 all have bigger battles to fight - the ~200 countries with gov’t, military, money and power will keep these away from global adoption. Our battles are not with each other, at least not in our lifetime I’d reckon

Nostr is super special. You can build any social platform, any digital platform, any financial platform on it. We are probably harvesting 0.01% of what it can do. Our secret weapon are our devs and everyone here. Glad to be part of this, even just as a user. Keep building y’all 💜

Expressing my sadness here on Nostr has helped me connecting with people that share the same experience as I do. Every sad note has attracted someone telling me “I too”. This made me less lonely in my experience, an experience denied in many ways by many people.

Of course change is possible, I would’t bother typing anything if I do not believe that. I also understand the importance of gratitude and being thankful. I am thankful for all I have, does not mean I cannot be sad for some basic human needs missing in my life.
