I wanted to get into #lemmy I really tried before the #reddit apocalypse, but now I think #nostr pretty much killed of any momentum it had along with #mastodon

Nice article. But I'd argue you don't have to go full digital Mennonite to reclaim your privacy and a sense of freedom. I started de-googling my life during the pandemic and when it was over all my smartphones were rooted and running #lineageos and for the most part only apps from #fdroid

Nowadays its much easier with projects like #grapheneos and others if you choose your devices wisely.

I'd go for countries with the largest #btc adoption first. I'm in #latam and I'd argue real day to day usage is greater here than in #europe.
