#primal has so much great potential. I'd switch in a heartbeat when it reaches at least feature parity with #plebstr I hate using #aurorastore just because there's no good alternative on #fdroid

Never heard of #anytype before. It's scope looks too broad and I don't see much of interoperability. Better just to stick to the #unix philosophy of "do one thing and do it right". Plain text files will outlive us all.

I agree. #obsidian will go #foss only if it goes bankrupt first, maybe. I hate using #aurorastore for my apps because there's no good alternative on #fdroid. Mobile #logseq is not there yet and #markor can only go so far.

Love you and your content Matt but you seem to have a case of #firstworldproblems right there.

#logseq is the #pkm I wish I had 2 decades ago. Slowly moving my #markdown and #vimwiki notes to it and astonished to see how new relations just begin to emerge. Being #foss was the reason I committed to it and it is already paying off. Paired with #syncthing there are no privacy nor lock-in concerns. But the #mobile app is just too early in it's development stage and not very usable still.

Enter #obsidian with it's beautiful editor, great performance and no-brainer integration with my #logseq #graph thanks to all the files just being #markdown formatted. A perfect stopgap until the logseq mobile app is mature enough or until #obsidian goes full #foss?

Boy I'm happy I retired from coding before the advent of #ai

Not "issues" per-se. But check out said choice of spacing, grouping and balancing (plus use of font sizes and colors) on my sub-6" device screen.

#plebstr vs #amethyst

My small screen looks less cluttered because all the elements have more space to "breathe" on #plebstr. its not only about the choice of what to show, but also the choice of what NOT to show.

Element-spacing, grouping and balancing can go a long way, even if no UI designer is at hand. #plebstr app does it beautifully, but also other #foss app like #glider.

First of all, thank you for your outstanding work on #amethyst. It blows my mind the rate of updates you're pushing to #froid. Now, mind you, I use mid-range, second-hand, rooted #android devices to squeeze the last drop of performance out of them. But still, #amethyst feed scrolling is laggy and sometimes not very responsive on the same setup #primal and #plenstr are not.

Lastly, I know the UI might not be a priority so early on the development stage given the sheer amount of features on #amethyst, but surely it needs to be if even more features are coming.

Having said that, I'm keeping my #amethyst up-to-date to ditch #plebstr for a full #foss #android #nostr client as soon as I some of that issues are taken care of.

My bro can dream.

I really want to love #amethyst but the UX is frustrating every day. #primal is nicer but just for reading and feature-lacking. Typing this on #plebstr, which is a lot more polished, but not available on #fdroid, so no #foss. Anyway, the best stopgap #nostr client I found for #android so far. Thanks #aurorastore!

For some reason the URL does not render at all in none of #amethyst, #primal, #plebstr

It's been a long time since the sub-1000 #btc days but it's high time to settle and refocus. I plan to continue spreading the orange pill and go into recreational programming once I setup my server hut. Lots of #nostr, #lightning, #bitcoin projects to keep me busy!
