How is it now that Russia can claim it stood up to 32 countries? Was it shooting at Italy, France, or only Ukraine? Am I wrong to say that if Russia is using that as a line of argument, then all they're doing is just trying to saving face to cover up for their 'failure' in this war.
If Russia took the Donbas region from Ukraine in 2014 without bloodshed, what's the point in saying that they have made advances in that region when they've already been controlling it for over 10 years?
If that's all Russia has to show for such a costly war, would it be wrong to say they haven't really 'won' the war?
How do you see it as a Russian victory when they already took the Donbass in 2014 with the little green men?

Ukrainians (most likely) assassinated a Russian Major General at his home near Moscow yesterday, yet another in a long list of assassinations of Russians (e.g. the EW warfare expert, Yevgeny Rytikov, killed with a car bomb earlier this week).

One interesting detail: the assassination seems to have been done with an IED made of grenades planted in car they parked on the street outside his apartment, probably triggered remotely with a webcam. Not all of the grenades exploded at once, which meant that after the first explosion, additional secondaries kept on happening.
Now think about it: suppose the general had only been wounded, not killed. A stream of secondary explosions would discourage anyone from getting close enough to help, maximizing the chances they he does in fact die. Smart.

Russia does follow-up "double-tap" air strikes all the time on Ukrainian civilians to try to kill rescue crews. Using a similar tactic on Russia for assassinations is more than fair.
Death by I.E.D in Europe. Now that's something I never thought would happen.
The closest footage we have gotten so far of the moments leading up to this morning’s explosion at the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas. Orange smoke, likely nitrogen dioxide, being produced by a fire interacting with a still unknown chemical can be seen right before the explosion occurs; chemical compounds that would produce such smoke as well as the blast include ammonium nitrate, nitrogen tetroxide and nitric acid, all of which are likely to have been stored at Bandar Abbas.

Cate Blanchett really disappears into her roles. Batman smiling is a bit unsettling.
Trade war is gonna turn into a REAL war..

"Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent wants trading partners to limit China’s involvement in their economies in exchange for concessions on reciprocal tariffs"
That's fucked dude, it's basically a "low key bro" sanctions. Trump is offering lowering tariffs for the rest of the world if they cut China off. The Chinese people who are working to feed their families don't deserve this, this is essentially an act of war. It's also going to screw working Americans to pay for world war 3.

Absolutely filthy
U.S. President Donald J. Trump has just released drone footage showing one of the recent airstrikes by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on Western Yemen, targeting a large congregation of Houthi terrorists, with the caption reading, “These Houthis gathered for instructions on an attack. Oops, there will be no attack by these Houthis! They will never sink our ships again!” Over 70 terrorists can be seen gathered in the footage, with all of them likely to have been killed in the strike.

South Korea looks like a disconnected island.
Dunno, I'm not buying it. Why would the US suddenly attack Iran because of the nuclear weapon development? That has been in the works for decades https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_Comprehensive_Plan_of_Action#Background
The US is very anxious about nuclear proliferation. Plus the regime in Iran has supported gangs/militias/terrorists that have attacked Americans for 45+ years.
The regime has also shown in its actions. and devotion to its political ideology ,that it cannot be trusted by its own people let alone its neighbours.
To allow them to have nuclear weapons is a dangerous gamble.
You fight regimes with everything that's available- bribes, bombs, books etc.
Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan are very different to Iran. For one Vietnam was all about sending a message to its allies that the US is willing to fight communism. Afghanistan is a fractured tribal society that is missing a "king" that was traditionally the center of their society. Iraq was destroyed mostly by the combined actions of Sadaam and the current regime in Iran more than anything else.
Putin and the Russia government don't think China will be a reliable customer for its oil compared to Europe. It is unlikely that China will even pay full price for the oil.
On the other side a bombing campaign of that sort would be devastating for Iran and a potentially fatal to the regime. Plus the added benefit for the US is that reduces some of China's oil supply for a little bit.
Oil refineries, power plants, drone factories, nuclear facilities, chemical research sites, navy buildings, ports, IRGC sites and the occasional innocent bystander.
Imagine if Ukraine was also able to hit the production supply chain for that equipment.
