They've got so much talent, even in their homegrown players. Let's see what they can do at AFCON and then the World Cup. 2026 might be a good year for them.

North Korean women winning U-17's world cup🤔

The Seychelles Navy (Seychelles Coast Guard) can draw upon 650 active personnel from a population of 100k. Bahrain's Navy of 800 individuals comes from a population of 700k.

Qatar's entire military is less than 30k, whilst the Al Udeid Air Base contains 11k Americans. Qatar has to import most of its food but has neither a significant Navy, or indigenous merchant shipping to keep its population safe and well fed.

Kuwait's military melted away when in 1991 when Saddam invaded, and needed an international coalition to fight its own war.

Oman faced a civil war between 1965 and 1979, during which they had to get 1,000 British soldiers and 4,000 Iranians to help. The Omani government could only raise 10,000 troops to fight for its own survival.

When the first red sea crisis involving the Toughie started in 2015, the impoverished Sudan sent 40,000 individuals to Yemen, compared to the wealthy U.A.E's 15,000.

Bahrain has fewer active troops than Qatar despite having double the amount of native citizens- 700k to Qatar's 300k. Granted they're an island but their Navy only hashas around 800 individuals.

Apart from Jordan and Saudi Arabia, the rest are not able to protect themselves against a real threat.

They all rely on 38,000 Americans protecting them against the 89 million Iranians.

Compared that to Israel's military having the experience of fighting in at least 22 different conflicts since 1948.

1.Gunmen: Naveed Akram and Sajid Akram

2.Motive: Possible Islamic State inspired/directed attack against Jewish individuals on a Jewish holiday.

This attack bears some similarity to the attack in the U.K, which took place on the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.

3. The Israeli government is pushing for Canberra to use more means to disrupt and dismantle extremist movements operating in Australia that seek to cause harm to Jewish individuals.

4. Special interest groups, think tanks draft bills and the politician would just pick them off the shelf when it suits them.

Politicians are more likely to be stupid than a calculating supervillain.

Finally Islamic State has been conducting attacks against the State of Israel going back as far as 2016. They started trying to kill Jews in May 2014, when there was a shooting in Brussels.

Yet another ship transporting oil for Russia has been hit, the Dashan:

Interesting how Ukraine used multiple sea drones to take it out, even after it had already been hit. Wanted to make sure it was taken out permanently; not just damaged.

Oil tankers are really hard to stop if you don't have anti-ship missiles. In 2002 the French tanker MV Limburg was hit by a suicide boat in the Red sea, and after some repairs was able to resume its operations. IIRC it continued to be used- under the name of Maritime Jewel up until 2018.

Such bad acting from Wirtz, he deserves the Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actor.

Tucker Carlson has returned to the aristocratic way of thinking about the Middle East post 1917 and Lawrence of Arabia. That is, of an English Arabist who comes to see Jews/Israel, as the pesky bunch who are upending the normal way of doing business.

This line of thinking leads to a replacement philosophy. Where Israel's relationship with America and the broader West, is intended to be devalued long enough for it's various aspects to be substituted with an Arab country.

This 'Qatar first' thinking is empty. Qatar has very little to offer outside of oil, gas and basing rights.

Hopefully future generations will give him the flowers he deserves. As talented as any superstar, he has always been humble to sacrifice himself for his different teams. For that he has the honor to have played alongside Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Mbappe, Rooney, Benzema, Bale, Modric, Pablo Aimar.

You have no idea just how out of touch alot of British politicians are. The lack of common sense is so staggering, that just when you thought you've seen it all, they'll find a way to surprise you.

Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani, and U.S. Special Envoy for Syria Thomas Barrack convened earlier today to discuss the ongoing crisis in Syria and coordinated efforts to enforce the ceasefire agreement brokered last night for the Suwayda region.

During the meeting, both Safadi and Barrack reiterated their strong backing for the ceasefire and expressed support for the Syrian government’s efforts to implement it. They emphasized the shared commitment of Jordan and the United States to Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens, noting that the country’s stability is essential for broader regional peace.

The three officials agreed on a series of concrete measures to help Syria carry out the agreement effectively. These include reinforcing the ceasefire, deploying Syrian security forces throughout Suwayda Governorate, releasing detainees from all sides, advancing reconciliation among local communities, fostering civil peace, and ensuring humanitarian aid reaches those in need.

Safadi and Barrack also welcomed the Syrian government’s pledge to hold accountable individuals responsible for violations against civilians in Suwayda, and voiced support for initiatives to counter violence, sectarianism, incitement, and hate speech.

Al-Shaibani, in turn, expressed gratitude for the constructive roles played by Jordan and the United States in facilitating the ceasefire, supporting its implementation, and promoting peace and stability across Syria.

Ayman Safadi is a Druze. This hits different for him. Probably the reason the Jordanian government has been quieter than normal about Israel's actions. Around 20k Druze live in Jordan.
