Tucker Carlson has returned to the aristocratic way of thinking about the Middle East post 1917 and Lawrence of Arabia. That is, of an English Arabist who comes to see Jews/Israel, as the pesky bunch who are upending the normal way of doing business.
This line of thinking leads to a replacement philosophy. Where Israel's relationship with America and the broader West, is intended to be devalued long enough for it's various aspects to be substituted with an Arab country.
This 'Qatar first' thinking is empty. Qatar has very little to offer outside of oil, gas and basing rights.
