"Crypto" will probably go away, and we'll be left with bitcoin and stablecoins.
Imagine how bad the alternative option must have been for someone to do this.
Just noticed that the Wikipedia entry for Dead Internet Theory was updated to refer to it as a "conspiracy theory" in the past year.
Who would be motivated to make such an edit? 
a combination of novel monetization methods for creators and tokenization of that monetization is how nostr could overcome x's network effect.
by tokenization i mean investment in revenue generated by the content creators, not useless memecoins or nfts.
what sort of progress has been made in these areas?
True, but personal responsibility also comes into play. People could have thought for themselves. The old influencers being wrong about Bitcoin is also part of their demise. It had to be this way.

It is sometimes difficult to zoom out and realize bitcoin is just one part of a larger set of tools. This is even more prevalent in "crypto" where a blockchain is viewed as the solution for every problem.
unfortunately, things need to get worse first.
Also nostr still doesn't work very well. Notifications and posts simply disappearing for me far too often.
I think nostr will mostly be for those interested in bitcoin and related tech for some time. But that’s ok because I expect this segment of the population to also grow.

Could you explain to the folks at home what a Binance cafe is?
It’s hard to tell what’s missing between clients and what notifications are just in different orders. I received a zap the other day, and that now appears to have disappeared from both clients’ notifications.
It seems the list of relays you use are also stored in the relays though? Iris and Damus already have the same exact relays set up for me.
