live simply, yet fully . love deeply . laugh often

i hope not through. that's how you lose the circulation of bitcoin - with the influx of "tokens" . The concept of privacy is great but not buy and sell with tokens

reminds me of what Noam Chomsky said about Jordon Peterson : "He think universities are dominated by the left. It’s actually dominated by the right. He is so far right that it looks like it’s left to him"

In 1966, Indonesia's Inflation shot up to 640% . But with a lot of control in govt spending and how it managed foreign exchange, inflation dropped to 10% , within 4 years. This team of new politicians or technocrats during Suharto's time that made this happen are also known as the Berkley Mafia (as they graduated from US Berkeley). In 1998, Indonesia's inflation again shot up to 77% during Asian Financial Crisis. Indonesia has 1/2 Trillion US dollar debt and a $1.186 Trillion US Dollar GDP (positive economic returns). Indonesia's economy is gaining a lot of healthy global attention under Jokowi - and with the addition of Bitcoin into the equation, it can be a great prevention for a repeat of history of high inflation. Indonesia has a strong growing presence with BRICS, and hopefully Bitcoin becomes the peacemaker between US Currency and BRICS trade war.

its stunning. Quite a dramatic effect

working with small manufacturers are a world of difference to what we think is ideal and make sense - and they differ their practice with heavy cultural infusions. My first experience working with a small manufacturer, i got kicked out of the place because i brought in NDAs. My naive mind wanted full privacy, in their minds i was doing the " big legal talk" and scared the bejesus out of them. It took 6 months before trust was established. And each of them differ from the other. But once you get into one good book, it is like domino within the circle.

PSA for those traveling to Asia / South East Asia. Don't bring in drugs. Your 2 tablespoon of weed can get you in prison / death penalty depends on how strict the country is. If you must smoke it up, have some shroom or whatever that tickles your fancy, find someone who knows someone who knows someone and get it locally. If you feel like dissenting, revolting etc and bring it into the country anyway, ok and bye bye.

This bit on money used illegally reminded me on the formation of HSBC founded on Opium trade. China lost HK for almost a century because it refused to trade opium, so British attacked them to what is now known as the Opium Wars. The context is from the book ‘Drugs as weapons against us, CIA’s murderous targeting of SDS, Panthers, Hendrix, Lennon, Cobain, Tupac, and other activists’ by John L Potash.

Financial scrubbing can also be done through art, real estate, investments etc asides drugs. An estimated 2% to 5% of money laundering contributes to global GDP. That’s $2 Trillion - $5 Trillion US dollars based on global GDP in 2022.

i was watching some stand ups clips last night by Bill Barr, Katt Williams, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Lavell Crawford, Sinbad and some really old ones Steven Levy and others - and thinking to myself no way i can post this up, not even Nostr, everybody might get upset - and then I saw your post in the morning. What a coincidence

seeing elderly couples go for walks is so adorable and heartwarming.

We should start back the hippies trend again. End the war. Music everywhere. Everybody chills. Beatnik ftw

what do you think they are fearful of ? getting a gentle pat in the back ? Or being immediately arrested and being put into detention camps with a min of 2 yrs - 20 yrs with no hopes of coming out or a fair trial because judiciary is just as corrupt?

If you really want to get to know the world better, look into “security acts”, “prevention of terrorism” and “prevention of crimes” in all countries from 1st world to 3rd world, not just gay rights in Uganda. And look into all those who have been harassed, charged, convicted, imprisoned for saying something that did not please their gov'ts.

Have you lived in an oppressed country ? Have you been oppressed ? I'm guessing its a big No. For every Snowden and Assange, there are thousands out there in detention camps and prisons all over the world who have been there for years for saying something their govt didn't like. Welcome to reality

nice selections. i read a recent one on prototype nations - how china became a manufacturing giant through prototyping, maybe it might interest you. cool stuff you are working on - AR/VR gadgets ?

catching up with some friends scattered globally, one with a niece in Palestine who had to run to the bomb shelter twice in a week, and feeling guilty they have access to a bomb shelter because a lot of parts, access to water, electricity and fuel is cut off, and they are being bombed non stop. Thousands of people have died, including hundreds of children. Kettling is a child's play in comparison. Another friend a conservative Jew is frightened for her kids in the US with the call of Jihad, and cops patrolling schools, shutting down Jewish schools for safety.

Two different scenarios - and if these people don't know each other, they would think the extreme of the other, as the rest of the world does.

A year from now, we likely would have Biden and Trump fighting for presidency. The greatest country in the world, who makes war and peace decisions globally, would be determining their leader based on who can climb up and down the stairs without tripping.

This is reality. And this is the reality we have to change.
