So for example who would you envision using spring browser? - would it be people who are not as paranoid over privacy but not happy with current browsers out there? if we can narrow down their persona (interest, where they hang, if its age group, gender, occupations etc) maybe we can identify the users who might adapt the browser and reach out to them.

It doesn't mean they are going to be your only users, its just that they would be your earliest adopters, give you feedbacks and you can expand on that for a wider crowd eventually. And you have that incremental user growth %

I was impressed at how unique some of these designs were, only to realize its AI-based designs that is produced and shipped out to customers. It will be interesting to see how this impacts fashion designers and the industry as a whole.

Some suggestions on 'zero-cost marketing' for Nostr clients and other stuff. Feel free to add on suggestions :

1. Write more on media - approach various angles of Nostr and target at least 1-2 articles to be published a month.

2. Reach out to users based on where they are - if college kids maybe have talks or workshops on campuses. If it’s neighborhood, put up short and catchy brochures in the neighborhood local businesses, coffee shops, on the street, bars .

3. Ted talks or similar highly established talks with a large audience on the concept of

(a) “reversing the current internet” like how nostr:npub1zuuajd7u3sx8xu92yav9jwxpr839cs0kc3q6t56vd5u9q033xmhsk6c2uc ` talked about or

(b) bridging many diff ideologies through platforms and bringing people together like how nostr:npub1k979np6dcpwh7mkfwk7wq3msezml48fh7wksp9hakakf8pwk3y5qhdz7te is doing it .

These are all very novel concepts.

4. Do short videos like how the Thai tik tok went viral - and post it on various other social media - tik tok, IG, FB.

5. Partner up with businesses for free onboarding promo on their website to their clients.

6. Get into as many TV interviews and radio interviews

The current marketing initiatives are heavy on Bitcoin conferences.

1. It might be stale because of high repetition

2. BUT. Because it's easier to convert bitcoiner, the initiatives here can be one step beyond onboarding - such as establishing bitcoin relays or if specific to localities, then onboard someone local who can set up local relays and that person onboards more people from there, and it relays on =)

Goal = acquire users + grow this user base.

Some thoughts :

Having a great and easy to use product with useful features is one thing. Finding users is another. Both are different types of challenges.

I read this book sometime back. This were my notes on this :

“This is an interesting concept I’ve been wanting to read. Often, plutocrats struggle in a capitalistic/autocratic environment. To have a baseline, to not worry abt survival day to day, to look forward to a goal - is something a large part of the world is still unfamiliar with. Is UBI an Ethos and a technocratic policy proposal ? UBI > unemployment? Can you really hack poverty? I have a lot more questions & thoughts after reading this, and would welcome book suggestions. But I think more debates - pros & cons is needed - promotes conversations around it”

I think how much is needed to hack that baseline poverty would differ country by country, state by state. If it's less than an amount to hack poverty, people will not overcome economic challenges and become dependent. At the same time, many people are fucking poor and just want to survive day to day. I think UBI needs to come with a long term goal of creating an independent society. The concept alone may be abused in many ways by useless governments.

Finland decreased homelessness by providing apartments for the homeless. Providing basic necessities may not be a bad thing. But it has to be targeted to specific areas and problems.

I also think, establishing bitcoin as common currency (ie all countries actually using it to buy and sell goods and services) would stabilise economic disparity greatly

Running a business is tough. Learning craftsmanship is tough. Finding customers is tough, setup marketing, and sales points are tough. Not having funds is tough. Starting from ground zero is fucking hard. Its ok to be fucking broke, it doesn't define who you are. Making mistakes is normal.

So it's ok if things are tough. Don’t be too hard on yourself. What really matters is how we pick up.

I think what might help is perhaps a 1 year projection, list out all cost factors to reach a certain target of sales. See if projected sales revenue alone can cover cost and support yourself. It will be tempting to be ambitious, but try to be as conservative as you can when you make this projections.

If sales revenue cant cover cost, then maybe you need to cut cost, find a cheaper website for a while, look for external funding - loans etc, increase sales avenues, or get a job (or do all). Reaching for your dream is not easy, but if you are determined to make it, give it your all.

Get some sleep, rest up, wake up afresh, build that realistic plan to reach for your dreams and go for it. You got this.

Where else are you selling this ? Are you retailing them / reaching out to boutiques to carry your products ? Or maybe even partner up with classy gentlemen bars like speakeasies, or be a vendor for other brands hence it could be a B2B model. How about other market places etsy etc ? Just to recoup financially and to get your product out there.
