Scarcity is not a good thing. We fight against it. We seek abundance. If you produce good things, you should seek to produce as much as possible at the lowest cost possible. THAT is progress.
If you can easily produce 1 million exemplars of your product but you don't because you want to manufacture the scarcity in order to raise prices, then, imo, your product simply isn't hard enough.
I wish I could say 1000. People often think a lower quantity in circulation gives greater value but I disagree. It's not that simple.
