live simply, yet fully . love deeply . laugh often

doesn't matter what others think - what matters is we move forward.

there are other ways to help improve relay distribution - ie relay market place, knowing who manages what, their offerings, features, localisation etc. It helps to understand the reason for selections.

There are other ways to improve note visibility ie enabling clients to view long forms, better capacity for users to set their own algo to find mutual interest.

it seems like on the onset gossip works theoretically but doesn't have clear execution strategy.

maybe some positive deviance is needed to boost innovation

Wow, this video is really good. Gov’t and mafias are just the same - it depends on which side the law is on.

$2.3 Trillion dollars that goes to the oligarchs of the US every year remains undetected? And they are worried about Bitcoin money laundering lol.

The Rothchild influence on US gov’t, global war, US debt (and central banks?) is significant. And they were not friends with the Kennedy's.

In those 2 years JFK was president - initially he was pushed towards triggering all these massive wars - Chomsky shared his darker start - but JFK rebelled against it - wanted the Vietnam war to end, wanted peace in Indonesia, he bridged communications and extended a friendly arm to Soviet and to Cuba - and he said splinter the CIA.

And of course, the military industry was in panic for the potential loss of business if there were global peace.

During that time (Beatnik era), there was also the CIA involvement in MKUltra controlling people through drugs. Not to mention the amount of famous people who spoke against war, drugs and kaput.

I like that they shared the German vs Russia bit. Ppl to this date place a mental map on Russia being “evil” and equivalent to the Nazis when in fact - the Russian fought the hardest against the Nazis during WW2. If anything their ideologies were completely opposite - Nazis were extreme far right that rose to suppress the rise of socialism.

During WW2, Russia lost 20 - 30 million people fighting the Nazis. All of Europe and Asia lost abt the same. The US faced less than 1% of the damage Russia did. But of course, the military industry needed a “boogie man”. Not to mention the end of WW2 was the perfect timing of implementing Brexton with a bit of nuclear persuasion.

And it's so spot on the number of major companies that supported the Nazi movement - to be fair tho, hitler started off ok, and then went completely nuts. But interesting to see who wanted him in power and for what reasons. Well other than Hugo Boss - they remain the best dressed military thanks to them lol.

9/11 is another interesting bit on CIA’s involvement - I have briefly seen the Bush agenda from Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 911 - but wow - did not know the extend of damage.

The Islamic rise in the 70s in Afghanistan saw a shift from a dying monarch to a fundamentalist gov’t under Moussad. This was peak Cold War - US funded Moussad in the millions and provided weapons to fight Russia.

When the Cold war ended, Russia backed off and left Afghanistan. The US didn't. Taliban is the extreme far right Islamic movement that started in the mid 90s, Al Qaeda is the international front. Taliban eventually kicked out Moussad and ruled Afghanistan - they had access to all the weapons thanks to the US.

Moussad did warn the US that Talibans were up to no good. They killed Moussad on the 10th of Sep. And attacked the World Trade Centre on 11th of Sep.

This led to another 20 years of gun supply when the US took over Afghanistan. Not to mention a hold on one of the biggest Opium exporters.

And today, there is what, $80B worth of gun supply in Ukraine ? - imagine using the money to build the country instead of tearing it down.

Eugenics is another crazy thing - rich people are going to catalogue order their babies and Gattaca’s Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman will be true story eventually. Soon we will be rallying for natural baby making.

Glad that people are openly talking about this. It should not be a taboo or a media propaganda. Anyone who is trying to cover up is suspicious and worrying.

This video was really good. Stayed up late watching this despite skimming through some parts. Good night

Agreed! ❤️

Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body

"as we enjoy great advantages from the inventions of others, we should be glad of an opportunity to serve others by any invention of ours; and this we should do freely and generously.’’ - Benjamin Franklin.

TIL Benjamin Franklin was an early advocate of open source technology and patented none of his designs : Franklin stove, lightning rod, bifocals, flexible urinary catheter, glass armonica (rubbing glass with wet fingers to produce sound), carriage odometer among others.

He dropped out of school at the age of 10 to work in his father's candle and soap shop to help support his family of 17 siblings.

Despite his lack of formal schooling, Franklin's innate curiosity, ingenuity, and practical experience led him to become one of the most influential figures in American history - as the Founding Fathers of the United States and one the architects of the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution.

Asides that he was also a philosopher, scientist and a writer - Poor Richard's Almanack remains infamous and many of his aphorisms are still used till today “Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today”

He was known as a “printer” - he picked up the printing trade and had his own printing business - which was peak mass communication at that time, and had his own newspaper

He’s also a funny guy - humorous and witty - through his jokes, hoax and satires. One example of satire is this piece "The Speech of Miss Polly Baker," published in 1747 to critiqued the harsh treatment of unwed mothers by society and the legal system.

He used to publish a lot of pieces as anonymous as freedom of speech was not fully accepted (his brother who was a publisher was put in prison for one of his thought-provoking piece). 2 centuries later, this problem still exist in today's world.

I picked up this story as I was reading up on the various cultures around the world and their gutsy ways of spotting opportunities in the midst of challenges.

Some terms commonly used : Yankee Ingenuity (US), wire No 8 (Kiwi), Jugaad (Hindi), Gambiarra (Brazil), and Jua Kali (Kenya) - the idea is to do more with less, be creative, resourceful, resilient and have a flexible mindset. There are many books with this title if you need a little pick me up.

But if you want to read ‘The autobiography of Benjamin Franklin’, it is also incredibly uplifting and well written. It is a letter by Benjamin Franklin to his son William Franklin (unfinished and published posthumously)

In his book he provides a long list of books he has read and the many thoughts and self experiments, habits and his reactions to them. But more so, he shares the vivid journey he went through meeting diff people and the lessons he learnt along the way.

An idea that's born out of adverse circumstances shows how a resilient mindset can transform scarcity into opportunity

with reference to ingenuity and resourcefulness. In other countries, its also know known as jugaad (hindi), gambiarra (brazil), jua kali (africa), diy (US)

I'm glad a lot of people are opening talking about JFK's murder these days. I read a tweet by Paul Graham that said we should get over the taboo against saying CIA killed Kennedy and I am glad more prominent people are voicing out after you spoke about it. There is nothing patriotic about covering crimes and injustice of an organization against a country.

Number 8 wire

yea, the plus factor would be wider visibility but it seems like privacy might be an issue tho. perhaps an option to toggle.

sometimes despite wider visibility, people might want to connect to those relevant to them and may not always be the initiator. the experiments has ambiguities, but it has potentials.

What this shows is just how big of an impact there is from nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 not implementing NIP-65.

It’s by far the most popular nostr client on iOS, and until it implements NIP-65, nostr will continue to operate under this “must connect to a few huge centralized relays to get a proper experience” situation.

That kind of nostr is *marginally* better than Mastodon when it comes to being decentralized. nostr:note10jkn5h9mz9nga0w9suhpnyqa9w9dutjnt5g4f8cdg2ppewuue3dswuet5n

As in gossip structure? I can't even see long forms on some clients to be able to read the post, so def a lot of content visibility is lost due to various other reasons too.

But on relays, isn't that the original goal - to have private relays, public relays - instead of streamlining all ?

i just started with a distiller. Apparently distilled water is good for dogs with kidney problems as it helps keeps toxin away - so its double benefit for the dog and I. Gonna add salt to mine.

love this and acoustic, i think i started following it 2 months back. it's really good.

love this, and the tik tok video. You have a nice way of putting things into perspective. Many speak abt publicity, but you went ahead and did it, and that made all the difference.

Btw 'The other stuff' is another interesting part of nostr where you can build anything on, devs like pablo, artur, jeff work in those areas, hope it adds more value to your content. Thanks Jessica for what you do.

That’s wonderful Jen, I wish you all the best. I dived in not knowing head or tail and did everything in reverse lol but was fortunate on the publishing aspect. Really heavy tho, 2nd book is undergoing cross-regional publishing and while working on that, I’ve got the 3rd book and my startup. Book writing can be very consuming. A good agent I presume would be able to remove the organization pain points with a sharp focus on strat and tact. Go rock this!
