Why do we all notice now that Twitter is depressing and nostr is uplifting? The algorithm of course…
The Twitter algorithm collects all the popular posts since the last time you were on and then force feeds it to you.
nostr is a stream of information that you have to be present to experience.
On Twitter we can no longer distinguish between talking to a computer and talking to a real person. Imagine if you had to talk to Siri all day, it would get pretty lonely and depressing.
Nostr on the other hand, when you get a like, or a notification, or you see the scroll of your feed, you know there are real people on the other side of that.
Nostr is like watching nature happen right in front of you, and it reminds us of our special place in the world and the beauty in it. We must be still and observant to participate.
Twitter is like being forced to watch real housewives of Orange County on repeat. Was fun the first 3 episodes, but it’s all the same garbage.

What you state is correct about defi and smart contracts. Give it time and an open mind. You’ll start seeing that bitcoin will do what ETH purports to do.
