Reading as therapy isn’t discussed enough. The right book allows for non-threatening self-reflection that stimulates blocked emotions, missing awareness, empowering knowledge, and a reason for hope.

My uncle was an architect. He kept a daily journal inside his sketchbook that consisted primarily of ideas, stories, doodlings, and newspaper clippings. He used it as the physical embodiment of what captured his attention over decades and it was at once goofy, intense, spiritual, and inconsequential meandering. When he began experiencing early dementia, his journals became a lifeline. A way for him to remember people, places, spatial rules, and important times. When he passed, his commitment to journaling culminated in dozens of physical notebooks that were gifted to his kids. The value for them was beyond comprehension. It was a way for them to be with their dad again and explore sides of him they had never experienced before.
I’ve always wondered what the digital version of this sketchbook would be for my generation. A blog felt too formal and Twitter felt too impermanent. Nostr could be the solution and for that, I am excited. #[0] #[1]
Learning coal. I can see no reason bitcoiners should allow another sale of a coal power plant that isn’t purchased for the expressed purpose to mine bitcoin. https://www.startribune.com/great-river-completes-227m-sale-of-north-dakota-coal-plant-transmission-line/600169911/#:~:text=Great%20River%20Energy%20on%20Monday,and%20Great%20River's%20member%20cooperatives
Any good coal resources you’ve found? We have a bunch in KY that are getting taken to the woodshed. Looking into this myself
