As Ukraine's military is running out of people, their government threatens to weaponize banks against draft dodgers by freezing or even confiscating the bank accounts of those who flee certain death against the Russian army.
Another example to only put money in banks you are prepared to lose.

Been running a #Bitcoin #Lightning node for the past 2 years, and IMO Lightning ⚡ is still far from friendly enough to use individually.
Having a separate company/entity manage your wallet & funds is the worst solution to this challenge & just brings everything back to centralization.
There have to be better & friendlier solutions than this! 🤔
Training is a whole other ball game. But just installing a small pre-packaged LLM can be just a docker container.
Running a local LLM isn't hard, running a big one can get expensive in hardware though.
Buying #bitcoin to put in a tax savings account you can only touch at "retirement" age, if you get there, is a way to hold custodialy & lockup the bitcoin away from you and guarantee you won't touch it.
Thereby removing one of the most problematic parts of #bitcoin (for them), self sovereignty.

How is this different/better than peertube?
The more I learn about the possible attack vectors of #bitcoin mining, the more it is very scary how controlling entities could relatively easily censor #bitcoin transactions.
Since the start of the bitcoin mempool being spammed and fees rising, it highlighted to me the issues with lightning & channels.
The transactions themselves might be cheap, but opening & closong a channel and is anything BUT cheap!
Need more atomic/submarine swap solutions.
