lol yeah I’m gonna get around to one for everyone who supported my zap-donation the other night. They can’t take it or leave it, but I think something like that would tell other users “hey, this personal supported a good cause (or multiple) so they might be someone I can trust or follow for good content. Just like when we select our real life friends based on them doing good deeds for us or being there when needed and proving who they are. No one told you they were good so they became your best friend.
That’s what I mean, take up a collection beforehand and when they seem weakest, zap the MOAZ (love the name btw) to surge the system to maximum pressure.

I’ve come to realize that although we joke about badges, they sort of are a way of public acknowledgement or verification of certain aspects like “first 100 adopters”, “Nostr Do-Gooder”, “Pleb Captain” etc where new or unknown users can take a look at someone’s profile and see they’re validated in certain areas as the protocol expands out. Yes it will be manipulated like anything else, but the ideology seems pretty solid

No we weren’t. We were talking about an open source communications software protocol in which Damus like outlook, gmail, yahoo, AOL, etc are clients that can read and translate the protocol. I have access to a dozen options for free and have tried most of them and choose to use the best one for me who was created by a someone willing to build it without formal pay or anything and did a pretty damn good job.
So again, what’s your rub and what’s your point? Or have you gone full troll? I mean sure, use a pretty pfp and act like some crypto queen to gain a bunch of followers and then try and brigade something for likes, but preferably Keep that on BirdApp cause nobody here really cares.

💯 I mean we’ve got darn near more functionality in Damus than BirdApp had in years with teams of Devs. Nothing from what Jack did, but this is a testament to the how well an open protocol works and what can be built on top of it in a short amount of time with some collaboration!
